The new Parmigiani Toric Petite Seconde Platinum Golden Hour and Rose Gold Dune
Two new subtle, elegant and discreetly original take on PF's dress watch.
The name Toric at Parmigiani Fleurier carries great importance. It was, after all, the very first made by founder Michel Parmigiani when he decided to fly solo. An elegant watch characterised by its gadroons and knurled surfaces, it underwent a significant update last year with the launch of the new Toric collection. But more than just an evocation of the past, Parmigiani Fleurier, with its CEO Guido Terreni, decided to give the once rigid and codified dress watch the sartorial, modernly elegant touch he’s known for. This year, two new and equally refined colour variants are presented, namely the Toric Petite Seconde Platinum Golden Hour and Rose Gold Dune.
Last year, PF released several watches under the revamped Toric collection, the most important of them being undoubtedly the Petite Seconde model. While retaining the flair of the original model, it was given some more modern touches, a sleeker appeal, a new in-house movement with handsome finishing and, in classic PF fashion, a fresh take on luxury by the use of soft, natural combination of colours – for the initial launches, we’ve seen a platinum model with a celadon grey dial and a rose gold edition with a sand dial.
Now, it’s time for two equally appealing colour combinations to be launched, including a stunning edition in white metal with a salmon-like dial – a combination dear to us at MONOCHROME. On the technical side, nothing has changed compared to the 2024 editions. As such, we’re looking a modern takes on the dress watch category, with cases in 950 platinum or 18k rose gold, measuring 40.6mm in diameter and 8.8mm in thickness – on the large side for a dress watch, but it wears pretty short on the wrist. Framing the sapphire crystal is a knurled bezel and a case that’s fully polished. The case combines gentle curves, without protrusions or sharp angles, and adds texture through its bezel only. But now, there’s only one row of knurling, for a sleeker look.
The 2025 collection welcomes two new combinations of colours and materials. The first, named Toric Petite Seconde Platinum Golden Hour, comes in a 950 platinum case with a solid white gold dial and a salmon-like colour. It is paired with an Akoya Grey hand-stitched nubuck alligator leather strap. This edition features white gold polished hands and applied markers. The second model, the Rose Gold Dune, plays on warm monochromatic tones. At first, it feels close to the Sand Gold or last year, but now the 18k rose gold case is paired with a solid gold dial – darker, more saturated than before, and closer in colour to the case. This one is paired with a sand-coloured nubuck alligator leather strap and has solid gold markers and hands. Note that on both, the gold dial is hand-finished with a grained surface (using an old method, with a natural compound of cream of tartar, sea salt and silver, then brushed by hand).
Under the hood is the in-house Calibre PF780, a visually appealing, technically clever movement that’s, contrary to the case and dial, relatively exuberant – which is good, as this luxurious touch is reserved for the wearer. Designed with geometry in mind, its bridges and plates are made from 18k rose gold, decorated with Côtes de Fleurier and polished bevels. The two barrels, which will provide stable torque and extended power, are elegantly positioned under two openworked, polished steel bridges. On the other side of the movement, the regulating organ is held in place by an openworked, transversal polished steel bridge. The movement beats at 4Hz and stores 60 hours of power reserve.
The Parmigiani Toric Petite Seconde Platinum Golden Hour and Rose Gold Dune are released as part of the permanent collection and will be available in stores in September 2025. The gold model is priced at CHF 47,000 and the platinum version at CHF 54,000. For more details, please visit www.parmigiani.com.

The price is not bad and will be even better 50% off on the gray market.
This is ridiculously overpriced but really beautiful.
It’s unbelievable that people have such insane wealth to splurge on watches.
