The Panerai Radiomir Viaggio Nel Tempo Experience Set
This time around, it's not just the wearing experience the owners get to enjoy, but a journey through history.
When presenting a watch, we often talk about the wearing experience. Yet Panerai chose to expand the experience angle, and over the past few years, it has been transforming ownership into participation through its special program of curated journeys that put collectors inside the brand’s storytelling. The Submersible Chrono Marina Militare PAM01699, Radiomir 8 Giorni Eilean PAM01643, and Submersible Marina Militare Carbotech PAM00961 are just a few of the Experience Editions we introduced in the past that made the unimaginable possible for the adventurous Panerai fans.
The new Radiomir Viaggio Nel Tempo Experience Set is perhaps the most complete expression of this Panerai concept, pairing two historically grounded Radiomir watches (PAM01729 and PAM01730) with an immersive Italian journey retracing the brand’s origins. This time, ownership unlocks a four-day voyage in September 2026, beginning in Florence, the birthplace of Panerai, before moving through key military and maritime sites tied to its legacy with the Italian Navy, and concluding along the Ligurian coast. The set comprises two distinct but complementary Radiomir models, both large at 47mm and rooted in Panerai’s historical proportions.
The bronze Radiomir PAM01729
The Radiomir Viaggio Nel Tempo PAM01729 is crafted in bronze, its case designed to evolve, developing a unique patina produced by the wearer’s “environment” and use. Slim wire lugs, a conical screw-down crown and a domed Plexiglas crystal make this reference the most overtly nostalgic of the pair. The California dial, mixing Roman and Arabic numerals, looks cool and historically justified. Beige Super-LumiNova and blue burnished steel hands complete the dial, giving it a tool-like appearance.
The Radiomir Viaggio Nel Tempo PAM01729 is powered by the hand-wound P.3000 calibre, a large movement inspired by historic Panerai constructions. Its twin-barrel design delivers a three-day power reserve. Visible through a sapphire caseback framed in titanium, it is purpose-built, honest and mechanically reassuring.
Quick facts: 47mm diameter – brushed bronze case, bezel and crown – domed PLEXIGLAS crystal – titanium exhibition caseback with sapphire crystal – wire lugs – water-resistant to 100m – Black grainy California dial with Roman and Arabic numerals – beige Super-LumiNova – blue burnished steel hands – minute track and bar markers – Panerai calibre P.3000 – hand-wound – 21 jewels – 21,600vph – twin barrels – 3-day power reserve – hours and minutes
The platinum Radiomir PAM01730
The Radiomir Viaggio Nel Tempo PAM01730 is a different, refined version. Its case is crafted from Panerai Platinumtech, an alloy developed to increase hardness and scratch resistance while retaining platinum’s weight and presence. The dial introduces a first for the brand: circular-brushed black sandwich construction, engraved with a near-invisible “Radiomir Panerai” inscription, a nod to the “secrecy” of early military pieces.
Powering the PAM01730 is the P.3001/10 calibre, a hand-wound movement with skeletonised bridges and elevated finishing. Perlage, open architecture and a power-reserve indicator on the back make this more technically expressive.
Quick facts: 47mm diameter – polished Panerai Platinumtech case and bezel – domed PLEXIGLAS crystal – Platinumtech exhibition caseback with sapphire crystal – wire lugs – water-resistant to 100m – black circular-brushed sandwich dial – beige Super-LumiNova – tone-on-tone engraved “Radiomir Panerai” inscription – blue burnished steel hands – Panerai calibre P.3001/10 – hand-wound – skeletonised bridges – 21 jewels – 21,600vph – twin barrels – 3-day power reserve – hours, minutes, power reserve indicator on the back
