The New H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Tourbillon Pierre Gasly (Incl. Video)

Not your classic F1-themed watch...

| By Robin Nooy | 3 min read |

On the eve of the 2025 Singapore Grand Prix at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, H. Moser & Cie. pulls the covers off its latest Formula 1-themed watch. But it’s perhaps not what you expect, as it doesn’t come in some highly exotic F1-tech derived material, nor with a revolutionary design. Instead, the renowned independent watchmaking brand teams up with Pierre Gasly, the lead driver of the Alpine F1 team, for a more glamorous take on the brand’s integrated elegant sports watch, the new Streamliner Tourbillon Pierre Gasly.

Ever since early last year, H. Moser & Cie. has been the official timing partner of Alpine Motorsports, which includes the team’s activities in Formula 1. To celebrate this partnership, we’ve seen several special edition watches. Shortly after the collaboration was announced, Moser presented the Streamliner Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Alpine in blue, followed by a pink edition for the Miami Grand Prix later in the season. Then, for the 2025 season, the brand introduced the Streamliner Alpine Driver’s and Mechanics watch set. The Driver’s Edition uses the brilliant Agengraphe chronograph movement, with a skeleton dial and a blue PVD-coated steel case. The Mechanics Edition is a ‘Connected’ take on the Streamliner, providing you with all sorts of Alpine and F1 race-related information.

Now, Moser steps away from team- or race-related takes on the Streamliner, and turns to Alpine lead driver Pierre Gasly to design the next chapter. The Frenchman has been part of the Alpine team since the 2023 season, and it turns out, he has a deep love for watches and very clear ideas about what his personally designed watch should look like. And this is it, the Streamliner Tourbillon Pierre Gasly, which looks more tuxedo than racing suit, reflecting the man’s taste and spirit.

The design is well-known, as it relies on the soft cushion-shaped Streamliner architecture. The multi-piece 18k rose gold case is characterised by polished and brushed surfaces, measuring 40mm in diameter and 12.1mm in height. The bezel on top has a sunray brushing, radiating from the centre of the watch, which has always been a lovely design detail.

In typical Moser style, the dial is finished with a sunray-brushed fumé effect. The Chocolate brown tone suits the golden exterior perfectly, and is brilliantly simple yet elegant in its execution. It comes with a clear lacquered logo, luminous Globolight inserts for the hands, and rose gold hour markers all around. That is, except for the 10 o’clock one on the full gold edition, as that is signed with a baguette-cut ruby. Why? Well, Pierre Gasly races in F1 with the number 10, and this edition is limited to 10 pieces.

Under the hood is the double-hairspring flying tourbillon escapement of the calibre HMC 805. This in-house automatic is finished with anthracite plating, Moser stripes, and a skeleton rose gold rotor. As mentioned, the one-minute flying tourbillon escapement has two hairsprings instead of one, aimed to improve the escapement’s accuracy. What’s also important to note is that these too are made in-house, as Moser is one of the very few watchmakers with the capacity to do so.

H. Moser & Cie presents the Streamliner Tourbillon Pierre Gasly on a brown rubber strap in a run of 100 pieces. This will retail for CHF 79,000 excluding VAT. The full gold integrated bracelet edition is limited to just 10 pieces and has a price of CHF 119,000, also before taxes. For more details, please visit h-moser.com.

  1. So, what does Moser celebrate here? Last place and least points for the team? A driver who made it into the bottom 30% of the field?
