Louis Moinet Transcontinental

The first continental train was completed when railroad lines met in Promontory Summit, Utah in 1869. The railroad opened the way for the settlement of the West while providing new development opportunities.

Louis Moinet Transcontinental

Louis Moinet celebrates the 150th anniversary of this major achievement with a limited-edition subscription watch. The ‘Transcontinental’ is powered by the LM64 automatic movement. Housed in the Louis Moinet six-screw case design, the rose gold-plated frosted and black dial is animated to reproduce the coupling rod system of yesteryear’s locomotives. The hours and minutes are displayed in the centre while the seconds are shown at 6 o’clock. The limited edition number is engraved at 12 o’clock and framed by the date 1869. Two versions are available: a steel and pink gold version that is 43.2mm in diameter and a pink gold version that is slightly larger at 45.4mm.
