IWC Schaffhausen continues to expand its “Colours of Top Gun” series with the latest Pilot’s Watch Automatic 41 TOP GUN Mojave Desert. This new iteration introduces a compact, sand-toned variant to the series, a colour normally found in large watches. Drawing inspiration from the arid terrain surrounding the U.S. Navy’s China Lake testing facility and the beige flight suits worn by naval pilots, this Mojave Desert edition isn’t IWC’s first foray into the desert palette. The brand has previously explored the colourway with several models, starting in 2019 and including the larger 46mm Big Pilot’s Watch Top Gun Mojave Desert, the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Top Gun Mojave Desert, and the complex Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar Top Gun Mojave Desert. While these models established the aesthetic foundation for the sand-coloured ceramic series, the new 41mm automatic version follows in the footsteps of the bright white Lake Tahoe model. It offers the same technical base, only with a different look.

The 41mm case of the new IWC Pilot’s Watch Automatic 41 TOP GUN Mojave Desert is crafted from IWC’s proprietary coloured ceramic with a matte finish, measuring 11.4mm thick, and water-resistant to 100m. The case is topped with a convex sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides and has a titanium caseback engraved with the Top Gun logo, with a screw-in crown in steel at a conventional 3 o´clock.

The muted brown dial continues the monochromatic desert theme and features tone-on-tone Arabic numerals and markers filled with Super-LumiNova. The brown hour and minutes hands are also luminescent, and at 3 o’clock, a small date window is seamlessly integrated. The running seconds hand reaches out to the very legible track. The new Mojave Desert 41mm edition is powered by the IWC calibre 32112, a robust automatic movement with a pawl winding system that delivers an impressive 120-hour (5-day) power reserve. Operating at 28,800 vibrations/hour, it is highly practical and integrates a hacking seconds function.

The watch is worn on a beige rubber strap with a matching textile inlay and a titanium pin buckle. The Pilot’s Watch Automatic 41 TOP GUN Mojave Desert IW328106 is available now, the price is EUR 9,100. For more details, visit iwc.com.
