The New Panerai Luminor Logo 44mm PAM01624
A back-to-basics model with a handsome green dial... What's more to ask.
When it comes to Panerai, we’ve seen the brand getting slightly out of track from time to time, with complex movements, smaller watches with low water-resistance and innovative materials that didn’t feel too convincing. So, when the brand introduces a nice-looking, straightforward model that does everything you want from a Panerai, we somehow have to talk about it. And this new Luminor Logo 44mm PAM01624, a classic, sleek hand-wound watch with a discreet dash of colour does all of that.
Back-to-basics… This is what this new PAM01624 is all about. A classic movement, the signature Luminor case, the OP logo on the dial and a time-only display with small seconds. Let’s start with the specs; Luminor shape with the trademark crown protection, a 100m water-resistance, a domed sapphire crystal on top with a closed back. A polished exterior, a nice brown leather strap for that iconic look and feel and an additional green rubber strap included in the box, for when you want to get wet, or when it gets hot. Simple, efficient, and straight to the point.
What’s specific to this PAM01624, a boutique-only edition (meaning, also available online), is the dial. Instead of the traditional, black dial of the PAM01084 – a good option, however, as you can’t go wrong with black – you’ll be treated with a slightly more original and colourful sunray-brushed green dial. The colour works well with the beige Super-LumiNova of the markers and hands, and pairs also greatly with the brown strap. The numerals and the small seconds are classic Panerai, with just that extra touch of originality from the green dial.
Inside the case is the proprietary hand-wound calibre P.6000. Fairly simple, it offers a comfortable 3-day power reserve and beats at 3Hz. And there’s no date on the dial, just the time.
Now available from the brand’s physical and online boutiques, the Panerai Luminor Logo 44mm PAM01624 is priced at EUR 6,200. Not a cheap watch for sure, but compared to some of the highly-priced models we’ve seen recently, it feels more adequate. For more details, please visit www.panerai.com.

The watch looks great. But Panerai are still on the wrong track. 100m WR on the iconic 44mm Luminor again with no exhibition caseback. 3Hz movement. Progress is slow. Maybe it’s a culture charm.
How about the same watch in 42mm or even 40mm?Pff i am still waiting one with green dial in smaller case with the trademark crown guard.
So it is essentially a green PAM111, but with a closed back and 1/3 water proof
Downgraded 100m driven caseback and integrated bezel , movement finish is nothing flash , hard pass .
there is a mistaked in your case descrption… This watch has a fully polished case, which is a shame in my opinion.. Youhave it listed as Brushed.. wishful thinking
You are correct, and it’s now updated in the article. Thanks for noticing and letting us know!
