The Second Chapter of the GoS x Martin Key Collaboration

Back in 2024, Swedish independent watchmaker GoS ventured far outside of the world of watch- and knifemaking it is known for, for a unique collaboration. Finding inspiration in the bespoke leather jackets, ready-to-wear goods, and accessories by Swedish designer Martin Key, the project resulted in a rather bold take on GoS’ usual work. While it was never intended to be repeated when Patrik Sjögren (the man behind GoS) and Martin Key got together the first time, the two have once again found mutual ground for an even more provocative series of watches. Limited to just 6 pieces across three case materials, this is the GoS x Martin Key 2026 Edition.

For the case, GoS offers a choice of 18k Swedish red gold, platinum or white gold. The design is akin to the first Martin Key collaboration, yet with a number of distinct changes to set it apart even further. For starters, the flanks of the 41.5mm by 12.1mm sized case reveal octagonal decorations, a signature design element in Martin Key’s work. The lugs are also more angular to match the overall theme. On the right, the hand-cut crown has a double gasket to ensure a water resistance of 50 meters, and it’s internally protected from shocks as well.

The dial is always something special in a GoS watch, albeit there’s no Damascus steel in this one. Instead, the silver base is hand-finished with a radiant wave-like pattern. Afterwards, it’s finished in black rhodium followed by a translucent purple ceramic coating, for a deep black look with hints of purple when shifting in the light. Surrounding everything is a brushed octagonal chapter ring, set with diamonds as hour markers. At 6 o’clock, there’s the hallmark Triskele running seconds indicator, framed by an octagonal ring, and the hours and minutes are indicated with Viking arrowhead-shaped hands. A neat touch is the fact that the hands are gold-plated first, and then rhodium-plated, except for the very tip.

The Calibre GOS03 is once again sourced from Schwarz Etienne, with a number of modifications and decorations made specifically for GoS. The micro-rotor itself is finished with a guilloché decoration replicating the dial, and the click wheel is engraved with the brand’s signature Triskele symbol. It runs at a frequency of 21,600vph and can store up to a rather generous 86 hours when fully wound. The level of finishing is rather impressive, with individual bridges, various types of brushing and even a touch of colour here and there.

The GoS x Martin Key 2026 Edition comes on a semi-polished crocodile leather strap with a lining in purple and a pin buckle to match the case (red or white gold) engraved with the Triskele symbol. The series is limited to 6 pieces in total: 3 in 18k Swedish red gold, 2 in platinum and 1 in white gold. The prices are set at SEK 580,000 for the red gold edition, SEK 688,000 for the platinum edition, and SEK 648,000 for the single white gold edition, all including VAT. At the time of writing, that comes down to approximately EUR 51,400, EUR 61,000 and EUR 57,400 respectively.
