The Glashütte Original Lady Serenade Valentine’s Day 2024

The Lady Serenade is treated to a romantic makeover with diamonds, mother-of-pearl and rose-coloured gradient numerals.

For Valentine’s Day 2024, Glashütte Original gives its Lady Serenade model a romantic makeover with diamonds and a delicate mother-of-pearl dial with gradient pink-hued numerals. Combining traditional Saxon pragmatism in the form of a robust stainless steel case and an in-house automatic movement, the three-hand-and-date Lady Serenade is a limited edition of 50 pieces.

The Lady Serenade and PanoMatic Luna are Glashütte Original’s mechanical watch collections designed for women. While the PanoMatic Luna is essentially a slightly smaller version of the men’s model (39.4mm vs 40mm), the Lady Serenade collection was conceived as a ladies’ watch from the start with a gently curving and compact 36mm case size coupled with a height of 10.20mm and a water-resistance of 50m.

The polished stainless steel case of the Lady Serenade model selected for Valentine’s Day 2024 features 52 brilliant-cut diamonds set in the bezel. Using a bezel setting, the diamonds are set flush with the surface, providing a smooth surface that is protected against snags and daily wear and tear. Another feature that women will appreciate is the large diamond-tipped crown that is easy to manipulate and the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal covering the dial and movement.

In a departure from other Lady Serenade models with applied Roman numerals, this special Valentine’s Day edition features large, curved Arabic numerals at 12, 2, 4, 8 and 10 o’clock, picked out in pink pastel colours and interspersed with six slim indices. The background of the dial is crafted from a sliver of white iridescent mother-of-pearl, and the numerals and indices are printed on both sides of the dial in shades that create a delicate colour gradient from magenta to pink and violet. Even the Glashütte Original inscription is printed in a pastel colour to match the markers, and the date window at 6 o’clock has violet numerals set against a white background.

The Lady Serenade Valentine’s Day 2024 is equipped with a Glashütte Original manufacture automatic movement – calibre 39-22 – with a 4Hz frequency and a power reserve of 40 hours. In keeping with its Saxon watchmaking heritage, the three-quarter plate is decorated with the traditional Glashütte stripe finishing and bevelled edges. Another typical Glashütte feature is the swan-neck fine adjustment to regulate the watch. The skeletonised rotor has a heavy metal oscillation weight and displays the distinctive double-G symbol of GO automatic movements.

  1. Except most women with an interest in watches just want smaller versions of the popular models for men.

  2. Modern women don’t,they buy their own watches.
In the past it was considered feminine for men to buy women small watches.
Time you got up to date!
