Once an American brand, now owned by the Swatch Group, Hamilton is a watchmaker with more than timepieces. It has fascinating stories to tell. We can’t forget the brand’s involvement in cinema, having been featured in over 500 movies since 1932 and its appearance in Shanghai Express, and then important features such as a futuristic concept watch for Stanley Kubrick’s epic 2001: A Space Odyssey, the Ventura for Men in Black, the Khaki Field Murph for Interstellar, the Khaki Navy BeLOWZERO for Tenet. and the Dune-themed watches. More recently, Hamilton also established a connection with another aspect of the entertainment industry: video games. Following the Khaki Field Far Cry 6 and the Classic Boulton Death Stranding 2, Hamilton now releases its third major gaming collaboration, a Hamilton Khaki Field Auto 38mm created for Call of Duty Black Ops 7, visible in-game and available in the real world too.

While cinema is globally regarded as the most important side of the entertainment industry, gaming shouldn’t be overlooked. Its influence on younger generations (and even older ones like me) has been crucial, and a brand such as Hamilton, with its long tradition of being featured in movies, to the point of creating watches specifically for certain scenarios, saw incredible potential here. In a move identical to that of the watches created for movies such as Interstellar (the cult Murph watch) or prop watches and special editions for Dune, Hamilton has teamed up with major studios Ubisoft and Kojima, resulting in two special edition models featured in the games but also available in the real world.

Now, coinciding with the upcoming release of Black Ops 7 (on November 14th, 2025), Hamilton announces its partnership with one of the most influential gaming franchises ever created, Call of Duty. A first-person shooter military video game series published by Activision, starting in 2003, the initial video game has grown to an award-winning series with over 500 million copies sold.

The result is a new take on the classic military-inspired Khaki Field watch, which feels like the perfect match for such a military-inspired game. The watch in question will be worn in-game by Axel Vermaak. Players can leverage the Khaki field in the game. And as you can imagine, Hamilton didn’t stop there and will release the same watch as a special edition to be worn on the wrist, while playing (or not) at the game when it is released.

The watch in question brings us in well-known territories, being a 38mm stainless steel edition of the Khaki Field Automatic. A slightly more refined version than the hand-wound model, with its brushed surfaces and polished bezel, this fairly compact (10.9mm thickness) model also comes well equipped with a sapphire crystal on top and 100m water-resistance. The dial follows the same principle, with multiple textures over a black base, fitted with multiple scale and polished luminous sword hands.

Adding to the military style of this Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Special Edition, the watch is worn on a Khaki green NATO strap with steel buckle and leather loops. Turning the watch over, the caseback is decorated with specific engravings and encloses a powerful automatic movement, the Calibre H-10, based on the Powermatic 80 with its extended power reserve of 80 hours. The watch is delivered in an exclusive packaging.

A limited edition of 5,000 pieces, the Hamilton Khaki Field Auto 38mm Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Special Edition merges the world of gaming with real-world detail and narrative impact. It is, as often with Hamilton, friendly priced at CHF 795 or EUR 925. More details at hamiltonwatch.com.

  1. So its a regular Khaki Auto without the exhibition case back or leather strap. Instead you get a cringe worthy COD case back and a cheaper NATO strap. Hmm, no thanks.

  2. Just wondering if this one gets moisture from the crown like my non-automatic on wet, sticky days…
