The New Hublot Big Bang and Spirit of Big Bang Coal Blue Collection
A new mineral hue to paint Hublot’s colourful universe.
Few brands embrace colour and material innovation quite like Hublot. Since the original Big Bang in 2005, it has explored every imaginable fusion, from sapphire, ceramic, and carbon to precious metals, often paired with interesting chromatic tones. Think vivid Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Green SAXEM, ice-cold sapphire or titanium with chilly white ceramic of the Big Bang Unico Winter Editions, eye-catching Spirit of Big Bang Orange Ceramic, or Big Bang Unico Mint Green and Petrol Ceramic; all these are just a few of the 2025 releases. Indeed, colour has long become one of Hublot’s signatures. Now, the brand unveils a new shade, Coal Blue. The new tone is described as a fusion of grey, black, and blue, and reveals mineral reflections under the light.
The new Coal Blue series includes four references across the Big Bang and Spirit of Big Bang lines: two titanium chronographs, the Big Bang Original Unico 43mm and Spirit of Big Bang 42mm, and two diamond-set steel models, the Big Bang One Click 33mm and Spirit of Big Bang 32mm, each dressed in this cool, contemporary hue.
Big Bang Original Unico Titanium Coal Blue
At the core of the new series, the Big Bang Original Unico Coal Blue merges the technical design of the Unico with the familiar shape of the Big Bang Original. Its 43mm titanium case combines polished and satin-brushed surfaces, enhanced by the new Coal Blue carbon-effect dial, a stamped geometric pattern inspired by carbon fibre’s texture. The two-register layout, with the larger subdial for the chronograph minutes, also incorporates a date window at 4:30, and a mix of Arabic numerals and baton indices. The indices, hour, and minutes hands are treated with Super-LumiNova. The Unico HUB1280 in-house flyback chronograph movement, offering a 72-hour power reserve, is visible through the sapphire crystal caseback. The structured Coal Blue rubber strap continues the tonal harmony and is closed with a titanium deployant clasp.
