Light, clean design from the Black Forest now sporting two fresh dial tones.
Born in the Black Forest and best known for instrument chronographs like the 417 ES and Pioneer series, Hanhart also has a quieter thread that predates its stopwatch fame: the wristwatches of the 1930s (cal. 36/39), valued for clarity and everyday utility. The Silva line infuses that heritage into a modern, time-only series. It is balanced, legible, and deliberately unisex, and sits alongside Hanhart’s tool chronographs as the brand’s minimalist daily wearer. The new Silva Rosé (pastel pink) and Silva Pistachio (light green) extend the palette while staying true to the historical design inspiration.
The case keeps the Silva line essentials: 38.5mm diameter, 10mm thick, 44mm lug-to-lug in polished stainless steel. A smooth bezel, convex sapphire with internal AR, and a screwed sapphire back deliver a tidy, contemporary look. Water-resistance is 50m, suitable for real-world use.
The dials are the news. Both the pastel pink “Rosé” and the pistachio green variant feature high-contrast hands, hour indices/numerals and bold dot markers for odd hours, along with the period historic Hanhart logo – a nod to the 1930s pieces, yielding a nice, high-legibility layout. The result fits neatly into Hanhart’s catalogue as the minimalist counterpart to its chronographs, offering a clean dress-casual look.
Powering the Hanhart Silva is the Soprod P024 (Top grade), an automatic three-hand movement (clone of the ETA 2824) with no date, operating at 28,800 vibrations/hour with a minimum 38-hour reserve. Regulation is to Hanhart’s in-house spec (0 to +8 s/day across six positions; no minus allowed in main positions; max positional delta 10 s). The movement boasts a Glucydur balance, Incabloc shock protection, hacking seconds, and has a partially skeletonised rotor with the Hanhart logo.
The Silva watches are worn on a black or dark-brown calfskin (Alcantara-lined) with a pin buckle, or a Milanese steel bracelet with a folding clasp; the 20mm lug width makes other options welcome.
