A Celestial Dial for the Glashütte Original Serenade Luna “Skyline Blue”
Billowing blue mother-of-pearl clouds and sparkling diamonds frame the glowing Moon’s phases.
Glashütte Original released its Serenade Luna in 2024, featuring moon phase indications. Unlike the Panomatic Luna, which is essentially a scaled-down adaptation of the men’s PanomaticLunar with its off-centred dial and Panorama date window, the Serenade Luna was conceived from the start as a women’s watch with a petite 32.5mm diameter, a sprinkling of diamonds and a traditional layout with the moon phase aperture at 6 o’clock. Joining the collection is the new Serenade Luna Skyline Blue.
The highlight of the Skyline Blue model is its lovely light-blue mother-of-pearl dial. Known for its natural iridescence, mother-of-pearl produces a rainbow-like play of colours. Depending on the angle, the dial glows with a silvery-blue hue or a more dramatic steely-grey colour. Thanks to the natural cloud-like patterns of mother-of-pearl, the dial seems to be covered with billowing clouds.
The applied white gold hour markers are set with 20 brilliant-cut diamonds and indicated by white gold hands. The star attraction is the poetic moon phase indicator set into the dial in a cut-out at 6 o’clock, framed by a white gold crescent-shaped structure with a blue mother-of-pearl sky and silver-printed stars. Crafted in white mother-of-pearl, the moon appears in a recessed disc accompanied by a blue mother-of-pearl sky.
Designed for smaller wrists, the compact, almost dainty 32.5mm polished stainless steel case is complemented by a slim 8.9mm profile. Available with smooth or diamond-set bezels, the latest edition is set with 48 brilliant-cut diamonds, adding a sophisticated sparkle to the watch. The blossom-shaped crown is also embellished with a rose-cut diamond.

Not just a pretty face, the Serenade Luna is powered by the in-house automatic calibre 35, developed by Glashütte Original to fit inside its small case. With a thickness of just 3.8mm, the movement with integrated moon phases has a large barrel to provide a 60-hour power reserve. Visible through the transparent caseback, the movement reveals hand-finished decorations, including the stripes on the signature Glashütte three-quarter plate, bevelled edges, polished and blued screws and the solid red gold rotor with its seashell pattern.
The price of the Serenade Luna Skyline Blue on a polished stainless steel bracelet with a double-folding clasp is EUR 16,200, while the watch paired with a blue alligator leather strap and a pin buckle retails for EUR 15,000. More information at glashuette-original.com.
