Fears Expands its Core Collection with new Brunswick & Redcliff Models
A trilogy of core collection watches defined by nice details and textures.

A British watch brand founded in Bristol in 1846, which later went bust in 1976, Fears was resuscitated by a sixth-generation Fear in 2016, making it one of the oldest family-run companies in Britain. Proud of its origins, which can be traced within its own classically-designed collections or through UK-based collaborations, the brand strongly emphasises heritage by incorporating design cues from the past. Today, Fears launches three new editions based on models from its core collection, with two Brunswick watches (including a signature Jump Hour edition) and a Redcliff model, showing the continued evolution of the Fears design language.
Understated elegance with the new Brunswick 38 Charcoal Rose, expressive styling, textures and mechanical interest with the Brunswick 40.5 Jump Hour Barleycorn, or sporty and adventurous flair with the Redcliff 39.5 Date ES, there’s something for every taste… Here’s what we know.
The Brunswick 38 Charcoal Rose
A contemporary expression of Fears’ signature cushion-shaped silhouette, this new 38mm version of the Brunswick (the brand’s most acclaimed model) has been reimagined with an elegant and refined palette. This new edition, housed in a short 43mm steel case, is defined by its multi-tonal dial inspired by Fears watches of the past. The granular-textured charcoal base sets a rich, understated tone, while multiple rose gold-plated accents add contrast and warmth. This rich colour can be found on the frosted hands and applied markers, as well as the peripheral minute track and the small seconds counter.
This compact version, equipped with an onion crown engraved with the Fears Cypher, is powered by a hand-wound La Joux-Perret D100 calibre (an alternative to the Peseux 7001), ensuring a slim 11mm profile and delivering about 50 hours of power reserve. The watch is offered with a choice of a chestnut brown cordovan leather strap or a 5-link stainless steel bracelet. It is priced at GBP 3,450 on leather strap and GBP 3,650 on steel bracelet.
Quick facts: 38x38mm steel case, 43mm length, sapphire crystal, 100m water-resistant – Charcoal Rose multi-level dial – Top-grade La Joux-Perret D100, 17 jewels, hand-wound, 3Hz frequency, 50h power reserve – Cordovan leather strap or 5-link steel bracelet
The Brunswick 40.5 Jump Hour Barleycorn
A more complex and original take on the cushion-shaped Brunswick watch, the Brunswick 40.5 Jump Hour offers mechanical intrigue and sleek design, now fitted with a 3D barleycorn pattern on its outer dial, in a silver colour, paired with a rich plum lacquered disc in the centre offering contrast. The symmetry of the dial is based on a jump hour display at 12 o’clock, showing the current hour in a large circular aperture. This element is balanced at 6 o’clock by a brushed and bevelled plate, set within the barleycorn pattern which carries the Fears name. A single hand in the centre indicates the minute, resulting in a graphic and sleek watch.
Below the dial is the Christopher Ward JJ01 module that sits atop a Sellita SW200, an automatic movement that delivers an instantaneous hour jump every sixty minutes. This new style is housed in the classic cushion-shaped Brunswick case measuring 40.5mm and made from polished and brushed steel. It can be worn on a colour-matched plum Alcantara strap or an optional 5-link stainless steel bracelet. It is priced at GBP 4,250 on leather strap or GBP 4,450 on steel bracelet.
Quick facts: 40.5×40.5mm steel case, 47mm length, sapphire crystal, 100m water-resistant – silver and plum dial with Barleycorn pattern – Christopher Ward JJ01 jumping hour module with Sellita SW200 base, 4Hz, 38h power reserve – plum Alcantara strap or 5-link steel bracelet
The Redcliff 39.5 Date ES
ES for Endurance Specification… Fears also introduces a sportier, more contrasted and textured version of its all-rounder model, the Redcliff, now equipped with a hardened, frosted steel case with black DLC elements – on the bezel, caseback, buckle and crown. This rather compact 39.5mm model offers superior resilience with a 150m water-resistance and a textured FKM rubber strap. Also new to this model is the dial, with strong texture and multi-level layout, thanks to a matt black angled rehaut and moulded Super-LumiNova hour markers. The black tone is contrasted with energetic pops of bold orange on the minute track and seconds hand. Inside is the automatic La Joux-Perret G100 movement, with 68h power reserve. It is priced at GBP 3,350.
