The Eska Amphibian 250 Blue Dolphin, Now with a Blue Dial
Vintage design, compact proportions, now in a smoked blue colour that lends it a fresh summery style.
Retro design, cool diver, reliable engine, fair price: all the boxes checked when it comes to the Eska Amphibian 250. Like many brands that disappeared during the quartz crisis, Eska also has its own revival story with the Amphibian 250 leading that comeback. A version released earlier this year introduced a left-handed configuration with warm brown retro hues. Now, Eska adds a classic blue dial option to the collection with the new Amphibian 250 Blue Dolphin. So far, the range already includes gradient red, smoked green, black, and white dials, but this new version feels more like a proper summer watch while keeping the same robust tool-watch character that made the Amphibian 250 a solid everyday diver.
The Eska Amphibian 250 Blue Dolphin has a brighter, more versatile personality. Its smoked blue dial shifts from a lighter tone in the centre to a darker shade towards the edges. It is also paired with the newer bezel design, first seen on the Green Turtle and Red Viper editions, which replaces the older baton-style markers with square markers. Another small update comes from the lume, which appears white during the day but glows blue in the dark, matching the watch’s marine-inspired theme rather nicely.
Like the rest of the Amphibian 250 collection, the Blue Dolphin keeps the same compact vintage-inspired proportions with a 40mm stainless steel case, 46mm lug-to-lug measurement and 250m water-resistance. The sandwich dial construction remains here too, helping the large applied indexes and numerals stand out clearly.
Inside sits the Swiss Sellita SW200 automatic movement (alternative to the ETA 2824) running at 28,800 vibrations/hour and offering a 38-hour power reserve. Eska also continues offering the watch in both standard and destro configurations, with the latter moving the crown to the left side of the case for those who prefer it that way or simply like the more unusual look.
The Eska Amphibian 250 Blue Dolphin is delivered on either a white rubber strap for a more summery look or a navy blue rubber strap with white stitching made by rubber-strap specialist Rub Strap for something slightly sportier. Unlike some earlier Amphibian 250 editions, this one will not be sold as a numbered limited edition. Instead, Eska says production will happen in limited yearly batches, with the first 2026 batch consisting of 150 pieces. Price is set at EUR 908 excluding VAT, with deliveries starting from July 15, 2026.
