The Best Of Dubai Watch Week 2025 On A (Sort of) Budget, With 6 New Watches Below 7K

Following on last week's Best-of-Show selection, which pretty much all cost an arm and a leg, we turn to more sensible levels this time around.

With the spotlight very much on Dubai over the past week or two, we weren’t disappointed by the newly presented watches from the 90 or so brands that were part of Dubai Watch Week 2025. Last week, we put together a list of what we felt were the very best of the best of the fair, from the wildly complex but oh-so-gorgeous Chopard L.U.C Grand Strike, to the unique and supercool collaboration between Urwerk and Ulysse Nardin. However, each one came at a hefty price, except for one. Understandably, this level of watchmaking is not for everyone, so this week, we come down to more sensible levels, with each watch being a lot more affordable, and thus in reach for the everyday enthusiast and collector!

Oris ProPilot date

Following the recent revamp of the Aquis Date line, Oris has now refreshed another one of its icons, the ProPilot collection. While the focus might be on the new dial design, the updates go beyond that as well. The case is slightly tauter, sharper, with a more detailed finish. The crown has been reprofiled, and the same goes for the bezel. The dial has a new design, new texture and new colours. It still relies on Oris’ Calibre 733, which is based on the Sellita SW200, and Oris offers the new ProPilot Date on a steel bracelet or suede leather strap, both with a LIFT folding clasp. The collection retails for EUR 1,950 on leather or EUR 2,150 on the bracelet.

Frederique Constant Classics Moonphase Date Turquoise

With stone dials being one of the major trends in watchmaking for the past two or three years, there’s no ignoring The Elements Collection by Frederique Constant. This special five-piece set celebrates the brand’s 37th anniversary, with all featuring in-house movements. Some are exclusive to the set, but the Classics Moonphase Date Turquoise is also sold separately. The 40mm steel case welcomes a natural turquoise stone dial for a unique and simply amazing-looking result. Limited to 716 pieces in total, 37 of which are reserved for the box set, and powered by the brand’s in-house FC-716 calibre, it retails for EUR 4,895. Atelier Wen X Revolution Ancestra Jao

Ever since its debut in 2018, Atelier Wen is all about fusing Chinese culture and crafts with mechanical watchmaking. The Ancestra, introduced earlier this year, now gets an “East meets West” makeover in partnership with Revolution. The dial is as detailed as ever, but now finished with a hand-applied fabric-like texture and brown Grand Feu enamel, with Arabic numerals mixed in with the baguette-cut diamond markers. The movement is left untouched and comes from Pequignet, yet heavily customised for Atelier Wen. It’s worn on a cream leather strap with a steel pin buckle, is built to order and retails for EUR 5,100.

Norqain Independence Wild One Meteorite

Right before the Dubai Watch Week fair, we showed you the Norqain Independence Wild One Meteorite, a special edition watch with quite a striking look. Using Norqain’s proprietary NORTEQ carbon fibre composite case, but now in burgundy, it certainly stands out! But even more so, perhaps, by the complex and unique lines of the Widmanstätten pattern of the meteorite dial! It uses the Calibre NN20/1, which is made with Kenissi and chronometer certified by the COSC, delivering a power reserve of 70 hours. It’s limited to 300 pieces, and retails for EUR 5,950 with a rubber and a pin buckle, or EUR 6,300 with a folding clasp.

Doxa Sub 300B Cherry Red Seddiqi L.E.

Ok, ignore the fact that this is limited to just 11 pieces for a minute. The Doxa SUB 300ß Cherry Red Seddiqi Limited Edition is surely one of the most surprising editions of Doxa’s famous dive watch. The matte black ceramic case is highlighted by a cherry red sunburst dial, with a matching scale for the double-scale bezel. Add to that black markers and hands with white Super-LumiNova inserts, and the thing just pops! It relies on a COSC-certified Sellita SW200 automatic, which delivers 38h of power reserve. Next to the black FKM rubber strap with Doxa’s convenient adjustable folding clasp, you also get a grey NATO strap included, for a price of CHF 4,200.

Tudor Ranger Dune White

Tudor pulled off a bit of a surprise move during Dubai Watch Week by introducing a new dial colour, but also a new size for the often-overlooked Ranger. While the original 39mm black dial Ranger is still part of the collection, it’s now joined by a 36mm edition, plus a new Dune White dial in both sizes. It gives a whole new flair to the watch, which is great! The colour is best described as a very soft beige, which is livened up with blackened hour markers and hands. Powered by Tudor’s MT5400 and MT5402 automatics and worn on a steel bracelet or fabric strap, the Tudor Ranger Dune White retails between EUR 3,120 and EUR 3,560.
