As part of its 250th anniversary celebrations, Breguet closed the year with a grande finale, the Experimental 1 and its innovative magnetic escapement. But there was one more watch as part of the celebratory collection… The Classique Répétition Minutes 7365, a new limited-edition minute repeater rooted in the brand’s heritage while pointing firmly to its future. This latest creation combines the timeless artistry of Breguet’s chiming watches with an entirely new case design in a special gold alloy and a fresh movement architecture featuring technical firsts.

The New Breguet Classique Répétition Minutes 7365 retains the grace and restraint expected of a Breguet Classique Repeater, but look closer, and you’ll spot the evolution. The 39mm by 10.8mm case, made from 18k Breguet gold, an alloy blending gold, silver, copper, and palladium, replaces the previous 42mm by 12,25mm proportions of the Classique 7637, now offering more refined ergonomics thanks to integrated lugs and a softly curved profile introduced earlier this year with the Souscription 2025. The case middle is hand-guilloché with the new “Quai de l’Horloge” motif, a nod to the Parisian address where Abraham-Louis Breguet began his craft in 1775 and framed by a polished domed bezel. In a first for Breguet’s chiming watches, the 7365 is water-resistant to 30m, thanks to special gaskets sealing the minute repeater slide.

The dial introduces another first: a Bleu de France (French blue) grand feu enamel finish, created for this anniversary edition. Its deep, regal tone recalls the hues of Versailles and the French royal court, a poetic connection to Breguet’s 18th-century clients. The minimalist dial is classic Breguet: applied numerals in polished Breguet gold, hollowed “pomme” hands, the signature logo at 12 o’clock, and the discreet hand-engraved secret signature at 6 o’clock.

While the design pays homage to the past, the mechanics move forward. The new Calibre 1896 replaces the long-serving 567.2 and introduces several innovations. It is the first Breguet minute repeater crafted entirely in Breguet gold, including its bridges, plates, and even the white-gold gongs gilded in Breguet gold. Beating at 21,600 vibrations/hour, the calibre offers enhanced stability and resistance to shocks, alongside a 75-hour power reserve achieved through an optimised gear train and barrel. The inclusion of a silicon escapement (balance spring, lever, and escape wheel) makes the movement non-magnetic and less susceptible to temperature variations, while certification under the Breguet Hallmark guarantees precision within ±2 seconds per day, another first for the brand’s repeaters.

The hand-engraved bridges tell a symbolic story: the upper half depicts the Quai de l’Horloge in Paris, while the lower reveals the Vallée de Joux, home to Breguet’s modern Manufacture. Each piece is unique, individually numbered, and has exceptional manual finishing. The watch is worn on a French blue alligator leather strap, hand-stitched, closed with an 18k Breguet gold folding clasp engraved with the same “Quai de l’Horloge” pattern seen on the case.

Limited to just 25 examples, the Breguet Classique Répétition Minutes 7365 is available exclusively through Breguet boutiques. The price is EUR 328,200. For more details, please visit breguet.com.
