Founded in 1888, Bucherer is one of the oldest houses specializing in watches and jewellery. One of the world’s largest retailers, it also brought several industry-leading initiatives to the market, such as a very professional way to handle Certified Pre-Owned, but also their dedicated collection, in collaboration with some of the best watchmakers. Named Bucherer BLUE, the concept was first presented in 2016, it consists of gathering different brands under the same creative platform with a shared DNA, and the will to present innovative, creative collaborations. And today, in exclusivity, we’re able to introduce to you the 3 latest creations forming the Bucherer BLUE Collection. Meet the new Girard Perregaux Tourbillon with Three Flying Bridges Bucherer BLUE, the H. Moser & Cie Streamliner Tourbillon Bucherer BLUE and the (very cool) L’Epée 1839 Time Fast Bucherer BLUE.
The Bucherer BLUE Girard Perregaux Tourbillon
For this first limited edition, Bucherer has teamed up with Girard-Perregaux, electing one of the most iconic tourbillon watches, the Tourbillon with Three Bridges. What we have here is probably one of the most modern and dynamic interpretations of this emblematic watch. Encased in a 44mm titanium case, it is framed by a box-shaped sapphire crystal offering a breathtaking view of the splendid movement and mechanical microcosm inside. Thanks to a modern and architecture, the skeletonized movement seems to be floating inside the case, with the Neo bridges made of titanium and coated in signature blue ALD Atomic Layer Deposition treatment.
The movement of this Tourbillon with Three Flying Bridges Bucherer BLUE, produced in-house by Girard-Perregaux, is not only visually striking, but it’s also cleverly built. If the finishing is top-notch, practicality hasn’t been forgotten, as it is a selfwinding calibre. It features a smartly integrated micro-rotor underneath the barrel, keeping the architecture of the movement intact. And there’s of course the handsome lyre-shape cage for the tourbillon regulator at 6 o’clock.
The Girard-Perregaux Tourbillon with Three Flying Bridges Bucherer BLUE is worn on a hand-stitched, casual grey strap and is a limited edition of 18 pieces. It retails for CHF 159,000 or EUR 167,000.

The bucherer blue Moser Streamliner Tourbillon
The second watch to form this new Bucherer BLUE collection is based on the recently presented H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Tourbillon. But while the brand has released it with a gold case and a Vantablack dial, the retailer has decided to take a different road for his own edition. First of all, the 40mm case is back to stainless steel, with the classic lobster-tail bracelet also using this sporty material. The dial of this Bucherer BLUE edition is not using the signature colour, but a typical Moser grey fumé gradient style, with applied markers and the brand’s logo executed in transparent lacquer (and thus barely visible).
Inside the case, we have the same in-house, automatic tourbillon Calibre HMC 804, with double-hairspring feature and a 3-day power reserve. What matters here, and where the BLUE touch can be seen, is on the bezel with 60 baguette-cut blue sapphires positioned in a surprisingly graphic way. And while adding a luxurious touch, this Streamliner Tourbillon Bucherer BLUE retains the minimalist touch of the original model. It will again be released in a limited series of 18 pieces, priced at CHF 109,000 or EUR 126,000.

The bucherer blue l’epée 1839 Time Fast
Last but not least, Bucherer is releasing what we’d like to call a “toy for big boys” in collaboration with clock-maker L’Epée 1839. Named Time Fast Bucherer BLUE, this superb object can be summarized as a kinetic race car sculpture that tells the time. The Time Fast evokes the dream of becoming a race driver. The single-seater race car with a 1950s classic fluid design captures the essence of childhood fantasy elaborately. Its engine is composed of a tiered movement with an 8-day power reserve shaped to the bodywork in the recognizable Bucherer BLUE finish. In a tribute to childhood, the mechanical motor is wound like a pull-back toy car.
The bodywork is made out of titanium and covered with automotive lacquer, paired with 1950s-inspired bespoke wire wheels also in blue. Hours and minutes are displayed on the side resembling a typical competition number. The escapement and the balance wheel are under a glass dome symbolizing the Pilot. The 38.5cm long and 4.7kg sculpture is released in a limited run of 18 pieces and is priced at CHF 33,000 or EUR 35,000.
