Four natural stone dial references join Perrelet's classic Weekend dress watch collection.
Perrelet is renowned for its Turbine watches, featuring a dynamic, propeller-style rotor spinning on the dial. As an elegant, dressier counterweight to the theatrical Turbines, Perrelet launched the Weekend collection in 2017. Designed as a compact, well-proportioned daily companion with a subtle retro vibe, the Weekend has recently embraced the ubiquitous trend for stone dials. Now, Perrelet expands the Weekend time-and-date line with four eye-catching, competitively priced stone dials.
Characterised by compact cases, the Weekend collection comprises straightforward three-hand-and-date models, references with an opening to display the balance wheel, a practical GMT model and a more flamboyant skeletonised version with a full view of the automatic movement on the dial.
The three-hand-and-date models all share round steel cases with a thin bezel, a 39mm diameter, a case height of 9.56mm and a comfortable 7-link steel bracelet with a folding clasp. Water-resistant to 50 metres, the case has an anti-reflective sapphire crystal over the dial and a window on the caseback. Decorated with a brightly polished bezel to attract light and frame the dial, the middle case is brushed to hide potential scratches; the supple, articulated bracelet features four brushed links with three polished central links.
Following the Aventurine and Malachite editions, Perrelet presents Turquoise, Lapis Lazuli, Tiger’s Eye and Black Onyx variants. Thanks to the slim bezel and minimalist dial furniture, the natural colours, veining and inclusions of the stones dominate the scenery, and since the dials are sliced from natural stone, each dial is unique. The slender rhodium-plated baton indices and classic dauphine hands are accompanied by a framed date window at 3 o’clock.
Ranging from the intense, vibrant personality of turquoise to the deep, regal blue of lapis lazuli with natural pyrite deposits, or from the alluring stripes of tiger’s eye to the inky black formality of black onyx, the four new Weekend models come with an additional calfskin strap matching the dial colour.
The Weekend time-and-date model is powered by the Soprod automatic calibre P-321 with a 4Hz frequency and a 42-hour power reserve, as an alternative to the ETA 2824.
