The 2025 Chopard Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph Tribute to Sir Stirling Moss and GTS Power Control
Chopard pulls up to the starting line of the iconic Italian endurance race with two 2025 editions from its Mille Miglia collection.

It’s that time of year when gentlemen drivers fine-tune the motors of their classic and vintage racing cars in preparation for the iconic Mille Miglia endurance race. Chopard, the official timing partner of the Mille Miglia since 1988, enjoys one of the most enduring partnerships between a watch brand and a motorsports event. Celebrating its 38th consecutive year as sponsor and official timekeeper of the 1,000-mile Italian race, Chopard releases two special editions from its Mille Miglia collection. Held from 17-21 June, Chopard’s co-president Karl-Friedrich Scheufele and racing legend Jacky Ickx will be competing behind the wheel of a Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing.
Matched only by his passion for mechanical watchmaking, Karl-Friedrich Scheufele is also an avid collector of vintage automobiles, and the 2025 Edition of the Mille Miglia marks his 37th participation in the race. Accompanied by six-time Le Mans 24 Hours race winner Jacky Ickx, the duo will drive from Brescia to Rome and back along with 400 classic cars that conform to the makes and models raced in the original Mille Miglia up until 1957.
2025 Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph Stirling Moss
In 1955, Sir Stirling Moss and Denis Jenkinson won the Mille Miglia, achieving an undefeated record time of 10 hours, 7 minutes and 48 seconds at an average speed of 97.96mph. In honour of the 70th anniversary of this unsurpassed victory, Chopard releases a 70-piece edition of the Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph Tribute to Sir Stirling Moss. Decorated with cues from the racing world, the retro-inspired Classic Chronograph features a silvery opaline dial reminiscent of the matte silver colour of Stirling Moss’ Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR, a 300-horsepower open-top roadster and an icon of the Silver Arrows era.
Reflecting the smaller diameter introduced to the Classic Chronograph in 2023, the watch has a 40.5mm diameter with a thickness of 12.8mm and is crafted in the brand’s proprietary super-hard and luminous Lucent steel alloy. The pushers, designed to look like engine pistons, are knurled like the texture of a brake pedal. The notched crown resembles a petrol tank cap and is topped with a steering wheel motif. Highlighting its retro spirit, a glass-box sapphire crystal over the dial allows more light to enter the case, increasing the depth of the dial opening.
Fitted with a peripheral tachymeter scale, the chronograph seconds hand has a red tip, matching the 1000 Miglia logo below noon. The tricompax chronograph layout has small seconds at 3 o’clock, a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock and a 30-minute counter at 9 o’clock, while an angled date window sits between 4 and 5 o’clock.
The caseback features the Mille Miglia insignia on the perimeter, Moss’ record-breaking time and date and an interlocking chequered flag and a Union Jack on the sapphire crystal. The COSC-certified automatic chronograph movement – based on the ETA A322-11 – beats at 4Hz, delivers a 54-hour power reserve and has a stop-seconds feature.
The 2025 Chopard Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph Tribute to Sir Stirling Moss is paired with a perforated rally-style brown calfskin strap and a Lucent steel pin buckle. and priced at EUR 11,100 or CHF 9,750.
2025 Mille Miglia GTS Power Control
The second timepiece, celebrating a decade of the GTS (Gran Turismo Sport), is a 250-piece Mille Miglia GTS Power Control. Introduced in 2015, the model features a power reserve indicator inspired by dashboard gauges, along with a more contemporary design. Measuring 43mm in diameter with a thickness of 11.43mm, the brushed and polished Lucent steel case is equipped with a 7mm screw-down crown and caseback, ensuring the 100m water-resistance.
The striking salmon dial features a black aluminium bezel, hands and hour markers for vivid contrast. A novelty of this edition is the snailed small seconds counter, replacing the large Arabic 6 of former editions. The iconic Mille Miglia red arrow pointing to the date window is retained along with the signature fuel gauge-style indicator between 8 and 10 o’clock, which tracks the 60-hour power reserve of the tank. The applied and faceted hour markers and hands are all filled with black Super-LumiNova, ensuring excellent legibility in low light conditions.
Equipped with a sapphire crystal, the caseback reveals the steering wheel-shaped rotor and the grille-style bridges that secure the in-house chronometer-certified 01.02-M calibre, featuring a stop-seconds function and a 60-hour power reserve. The 2025 Chopard Mille Miglia GTS Power Control is paired with a perforated black calfskin strap with a rubber tyre tread lining and a Lucent steel deployant buckle and priced at EUR 7,800 or CHF 6,900.
The two limited editions are available exclusively in Chopard boutiques. For more information, please consult chopard.com.
