The New Yema Skin Diver CMM.20
The French watchmaker elevates its offer by updating the iconic dive watch series.

Yema continues to refine its catalogue by raising the bar on quality and craftsmanship, unveiling fresh iterations of one of its most iconic models. Still drawing inspiration from the original 1960s diver series, the French watchmaker introduces new versions of the Superman Skin Diver, now equipped with its proprietary CMM.20 micro-rotor calibre, in a move that aligns with the brand strategy. These updated models follow the tone set by the limited release of the Skin Diver Slim CMM.20 and build on its streamlined aesthetic, specifically by omitting the clamp of the brand’s signature bezel-lock system.
The new Yema Skin Diver CMM.20 comes in a 39.5mm stainless steel case, measuring 11.5mm thick (excluding the crystal) and 47mm lug-to-lug. The case design stays true to the Skin Diver lineage with gently curved lugs, predominantly brushed surfaces, and polished bevels for a refined touch. A double-domed sapphire crystal tops the case, while the unidirectional bezel now features coloured sapphire inserts in burgundy, beige or black. The 0–60 timer scale is marked with a luminous dot at the top, and the numerals have been updated to a slimmer, more contemporary font.
While the signature bezel clamp seen in earlier models has been removed for a sleeker profile, the bezel-lock feature remains but has been re-engineered as an internal, push-to-unlock mechanism located beneath the bezel. This feature preserves the brand’s commitment to functionality while enhancing the overall aesthetic.
The dial maintains the Superman Skin Diver’s signature look with oversized steel trapezoid indices filled with luminous material for optimal legibility. Imprinted numerals appear at the cardinal points, and dial colour options match the bezel inserts: burgundy, beige, or black. The dial also retains familiar elements such as the Yema Superman logo, the 300m water-resistance rating, and a reference to the micro-rotor movement, making it unmistakably Yema.
The new Yema Skin Diver references are powered by the proprietary CMM.20 micro-rotor movement, developed in collaboration with Olivier Mory. First introduced in the 2022 Wristmaster limited series and subsequently used in the Superman Slim and Navygraf Slim models, this calibre blends French manufacturing with Swiss components. Assembled in Yema’s Morteau facility, it features a golden balance wheel and a tungsten micro-rotor set against dark, galvanized bridges. The movement offers a robust 70-hour power reserve, operates at 28,800 vibrations/hour, and maintains a reported accuracy of -3/+7 seconds daily.
Completing the look is the Scales Slim stainless steel bracelet, inspired by a vintage Yema design. Its snakeskin-like pattern of elongated hexagons adds visual intrigue, while the brushed finish complements the case. A double-security folding clasp with a micro-adjustment system (up to 6mm of incremental adjustment in 1mm steps) ensures a comfortable fit.
The new Yema Skin Diver CMM.20 models are available for immediate delivery and priced at EUR 2,490. For more details or to order, visit yema.com.

No more Yema for me until they use better AR technology on their sapphire, too much glare.
Absolutely love that beige color one, killer! One of the best overall ‘skin diver’ overall design and vibes. And the price is on point imo for what you are getting. Yema stepping up their game! Nice!
A beautiful watch, very balanced dial, own designed/manufactured movement, adjustable bracelet… For me, the recipe for success 🙂
Why don’t you guys ever show pictures of the clasp or say if the links use screw pins or push pins?
@Jon – This article is based on the photos provided by the brand. It’s not a review and we have not seen the watch yet (introducing, meaning based on press assets). When we have the opportunity to see the watch and photograph it ourselves, it becomes a “first look” or a “hands-on” – as for this one, I can confirm that the bracelet is adjusted in length thanks to pins. And there are additional photos of the clasp and bracelet on the brand’s website.
Beautiful watch. I’d buy one.
