The Semi-Openworked Version Watches V0201-TH, now on Kickstarter
An original design partially revealing the automatic movement inside.
Version Watches is a young independent brand founded in 2024 founded by a feminine duo, Cybèle Vigneron and Carla Lafranchini. Version creates Swiss-made watches that are classic with a twist, exploring the idea of transparency and suggestion through its signature semi-openworked dials. The brand now comes with its second collection following the V01-LLC that reached backers’ wrists in December 2025.
The Version Watches V0201-TH stands out as a two-tone composition on the dial with a satin-white base and a partially transparent upper half in azure blue, emerald green or blood orange. The watch comes in a versatile 38mm steel case with a distinctive fluting on the bezel echoing that of the crown and of the coloured minuterie at the periphery of the dial. The crown is set with a cabochon that matches the colour of the dial.
Its automatic movement is partially visible through the semi-transparent dial and discovered in greater detail at the back of the watch, with a rotor engraved with the brand’s logo and a mesh pattern echoing the V01-LLC series. The watch is powered by the tried-and-tested SW200-1 (an alternative to the ETA 2824), beating at 28,800 vibrations/hour and boasting a 39/41-hour power reserve. Winding is bidirectional, and the stop-second mechanism allows for precise time setting.
The Version Watches V0201-TH is presented on a dark green, dark blue or burgundy grained calfskin leather strap with a steel pin buckle. Other colours are available, as well as a mesh bracelet option. Quick-release spring bars allow you to swap straps in seconds with no tools.
The watch comes in a limited edition of 300 watches, 100 for each of the three colours: ciel (sky in French) in azure blue, crépuscule (dusk) in emerald green, aurore (dawn) in blood orange. The price is set at EUR 850 for the first 100 watches, EUR 1,195 for the following 100 watches and EUR 1,495 for the last 100 watches.
