Parmigiani Fleurier and Bahraini partner PRJKT8 present a special edition Tonda PF Skeleton. Limited to just 8 examples, the exclusive timepiece features flamed graphite blue indices that offer a striking contrast to the masterfully crafted, graphite-coloured openworked dial.
Based on one of the most appealing models within the now classic Tonda PF collection, the brand’s vision of a luxury sports watch with integrated design, the Parmigiani Fleurier x PRJKT8 Tonda PF Skeleton features a 40mm polished and satin-finished stainless steel case with a platinum 950 knurled bezel. Despite a comfortable 100m water-resistance, the case is slim, at only 8.5mm in thickness and retains a screw-in crown.
The main difference with the classic steel model, which features subdued rose gold markers and hands, are the unique flamed graphite blue indices, which add a further contemporary design flair and enhance readability, artistically juxtaposed against the neutral grey hues of the matte graphite openworked dial. The airy structure of the PF777 calibre is showcased both on the dial side, with elegant and curved bridges, as well as through the caseback revealing the intricate hand-chamfered latticework and the 22k rose gold oscillating weight, with rounded and polished spokes.
This movement, which is based on one of the brand’s classics, beats at 4Hz and stores about 60h of power reserve – comfortable considering the thinness of this watch. The openworked barrel reveals the steady contracting and relaxing of the mainspring, offering a view of the remaining power. This Limited edition Tonda PF Skeleton is worn on an integrated stainless steel bracelet, closed by a folding clasp and finished with alternating brushed and polished surfaces.

“Feeble” is the word that comes to mind with that handset. I’ve never felt that way about a set of hands of a watch before but I believe it adequately describes them on an otherwise fine watch.
