A collector’s piece and a symbol of shared values, quietly sophisticated and meticulously built.
Since 2015, The Limited Edition, a British retailer founded by Pietro Tomajer, has been a champion of independent watchmaking, celebrating individuality, craftsmanship, and creative freedom. In the past, the Limited Edition collaborations included watches made with Armin Strom, Vianney Halter, Kudoke, Garrick, and many other independents. To mark its 10th anniversary, the UK-based retailer has joined forces with Zeitwinkel, the Swiss manufacture renowned for its quiet technical mastery and in-house mechanical movements, to create the Zeitwinkel 082º The Limited Edition (TLE).
The 082º TLE retains the 26-part 39mm stainless steel case of the Zeitwinkel 082º series, its gentle curves and harmonious geometry refined through more than 80 individual finishing stages. The alternating fine-blasted surfaces and polished edges give the watch architectural clarity, while the domed sapphire crystal and transparent caseback convey balance and lightness. Water-resistant to 50m, the case features a multi-stage crown sealing system with dual O-rings; even when the crown is pulled out, the moisture cannot get in.
For this special edition, Zeitwinkel reinterprets the 082º’s dial with a new composition that plays on textures, tones, and depth. At its centre, a galvanised 2N gold section with a grained texture glows softly as light changes, surrounded by a Black Or chapter ring with concentric decoration, hosting Zeitwinkel’s proprietary numerals and applied markers. A smooth peripheral track with double digits at 5-minute intervals completes the layout. The distinctive Zeitwinkel hour and minute hands, diamond-cut and angled to reflect light on only one edge, ensure readability, while a slender central seconds hand indicates that the watch is running.
The watch is powered by the Zeitwinkel ZW0102 manufacture automatic calibre, built in the three-quarter plate tradition. It features untreated German silver plates and bridges, decorated with Côtes de Genève and hand-polished bevels. The openworked bi-directional rotor powers a movement operating at 28,800 vibrations/hour and offering a robust 72-hour power reserve.
The Zeitwinkel 082º The Limited Edition is worn on a grey leather strap closed with a Zeitwinkel-engraved clasp. Produced in a run of only 10 numbered examples, the Zeitwinkel 082º TLE is priced at CHF 14,900 (tax and shipping excl.).
