The Dubai Watch Week Horology Forum Edition “Moves New York” on Sept. 24-25
A platform of conversation, networking, and celebration.
Dubai Watch Week, the watch fair that takes place in the Middle East, has become one of the most important horological events on the map. With this in mind, the organization will be moving locations temporarily, relocating to New York City for a series of discussion panels. Centred around the goal of nurturing and sharing horological knowledge with the existing community and new adherents, the New York City weekend event will facilitate open conversations between collectors, artists, business professionals, tech gurus, fashion personalities and creative minds via panels, debates and masterclasses led by leading authorities across horology, commerce, entertainment, and technology.
Taking place on September 24th and 25th, the 8th Horology Forum edition named “Moves New York” organized by Dubai Watch Week will be held in the Meatpacking District, New York City. Set to host collectors, media, VIPs and the general public, the event has been curated to appeal to all audiences, while driving our continued mission of sharing knowledge and celebrating watchmaking.
“Channeling the incredible diversity of talent, interests, cultures and people of New York City, this edition of our Horology Forum has been purposefully curated to focus on our overarching objective of providing an educational platform for all attendees and fostering connections,” says Hind Seddiqi, Director General of Dubai Watch Week. “We look forward to welcoming new and existing watch lovers to an experience designed to celebrate the passion of our community.”
The program includes guests such as actor and horologist Aldis Hodge, who will join a panel on American watchmaking, Mark Cho, Co-founder of menswear fashion destination The Armoury and watch collector, who will talk about the impact of consumers on brand design decisions, and a panel about on surveying the crypto consumer and collectability trends, moderated by Creative Director and Senior Vice President of NFT Programming for OneOf, Christopher Sealey.
