If you have been following our Orient coverage lately, you will have noticed things have been anything but quiet. Earlier this year, the brand showcased its first no-date Bambino, and then Orient Star also presented the meteorite M34 F8 Date, followed shortly by the bold M34 F8 Skeleton. But let’s come back to Orient, the more accessible side of the brand, as it is expanding one of its newest collections. Just a year after making its debut, the Stretto family welcomes 10 new watches split across two lines: the Orient Stretto Date and Orient Stretto Day & Night. All automatic, but each has its own character, where date models are clean and peppy, while the day and night watches are a little more feature-packed.

The Orient Stretto Date

Introduced in 2025, Orient’s Stretto collection grows bigger. All five Orient Stretto Date watches share the same compact 38.5mm steel case, paired with a matching bracelet and featuring a classic three-hand display with a date window at 3 o’clock. Four regular-production references arrive in vivid green, blue, pink, and orange, each with the collection’s signature sunburst finish across the dial and applied wedge-shaped indexes inspired by city skyscrapers. Completing the collection is also a limited edition of 2,300 pieces, which swaps the solid colours for an embossed striped pattern with a vertical gradient finish in blue.

Power comes from Orient’s in-house automatic calibre F6722 with hand winding capacity, offering more than 40 hours of power reserve and beating at 21,600 vibrations/hour. Sapphire crystal, an exhibition caseback, and 50 metres of water resistance are some other important details of these latest iterations. The new Orient Stretto Date models are priced at EUR 399, with the 2,300-piece limited edition carrying a slight premium at EUR 420.

The Orient Stretto Day & Night

The Orient Stretto Day & Night watches are packed inside a larger stainless-steel case, with a diameter of 41.5mm. This makes sense because the case can now have room for a more elaborate display featuring a day-of-the-week subdial at 10 o’clock, a date window at 3 o’clock, and Orient’s signature Day & Night indication at 4 o’clock, where a rotating disc decorated with sun and moon motifs tracks the passage from day to night.

The Day & Night collection opens with a white-dial watch featuring a gold-coloured plated bezel, partially gold-coloured plated bracelet, and matching gold-tone hands and indexes. Then there is a brown-dial version with a rose gold-coloured bezel and matching accents, giving the pair a dressier look than the rest of the collection. The remaining green and navy blue models stick with stainless steel throughout, although the green version retains gold-tone hands and indexes for a touch of contrast.

Then there is the 2026 Spring-Summer limited-edition watch. Instead of focusing on a single colour, it combines all four shades used across the Date collection into one dial, pairing an orange day display with a blue day and night register, a pink minute track, and a green seconds hand against a deep blue background. It is easily the most colourful watch in the new Stretto family and adds a welcome sense of fun to the collection.

These Stretto Day & Night models are powered by the in-house automatic F6B24 movement with hand winding capacity. Running at 21,600 vibrations/hour, this engine offers more than 40 hours of power reserve. These Day & Night watches by Orient come fitted with a steel bracelet, sapphire crystal, exhibition caseback, and offer 50 metres of water resistance. Prices for the new Stretto Day & Night watches start at EUR 450 for the brown, green, and navy blue models, rising to EUR 470 for the colourful edition and EUR 499 for the white-dial version with gold-coloured bezel.
