Norqain, founded in 2018, quickly became a challenger in the mechanical sports watch segment, offering robustness, innovative materials, and a distinctive look. The Wild ONE collection is important to the brand’s identity, designed to be worn during physical activity or outdoor adventures, without compromise. The new Wild ONE Skeleton X-Lite makes rigorous exercise significantly easier, reducing weight to just 45 grams while maintaining shock resistance and everyday usability.
The case construction is essential. Measuring 41mm in diameter and 11.95mm thick, the architecture relies on a complex assembly of more than 30 components combining Norteq carbon composite, titanium and aluminium. The key innovation is the introduction of X-Lite, a proprietary carbon fibre composite developed with BIWI, used for the casing ring to improve lightness and shock absorption. The screw-down crown is overmolded in yellow rubber, while the caseback features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal to reveal the movement. The whole structure is rated to withstand impacts of over 5,000G and is 100m water-resistant. The Norqain plate on the left can be engraved with your short message at an extra cost.
The dial is skeletonised and presented in black with bold yellow accents; it reduces mass while maintaining good legibility. Diamond-cut, faceted, black-plated and openworked hour and minute hands with luminous tips and applied markers with Supe-LumiNova outlines ensure visibility.
The Wild ONE Skeleton X-Lite is powered by the new Norqain 4K Calibre (NBK26/1), developed with AMT. This automatic, COSC-certified movement runs at 28,800 vibrations/hour and delivers a 65-hour power reserve, an improvement over previous Wild ONE Skeleton models, which offered 41 hours of autonomy. The construction is deliberately open, with bridges and a rotor to evoke mountain peaks, a recurring theme in the brand’s designs.
The watch is offered with two strap options. One is a black-and-yellow rubber strap with a perforated upper layer; an interchangeable ultra-light stretch base layer is also available; both are fitted with a Norteq pin buckle.
