Compact and Colourful, Here’s the new Nomos Club Sport Neomatik 34

It offers the same sporty look, casual-chic feel, and dive-ready build, yet it's petite.

Few watch designs offer the freedom to create a series of nearly identical-looking pieces that remain universally appealing, regardless of case size or dial colour. Nomos timepieces, defined by a beautiful simplicity rooted in Bauhaus principles, showcase this versatility nicely… Take for instance the Club Sport series. The sporty line was first introduced in a 42mm size in 2021, followed by a 37mm model the next year, and later, it expanded to include a 39.5mm option. To ensure no one feels excluded, Nomos has crafted an elegant, compact 34mm version of its popular Club Sport Neomatik series. And it comes in 3 new and surprisingly cool colours.

The new Nomos Club Sport Neomatick 34 offers a smaller, more gender-free take on the collection’s design, featuring a sleek 34mm diameter and an 8.2mm thick stainless steel case. Despite its compact size, it maintains a robust 200m water-resistance rating and is available with either a solid or display-style screwed caseback. Like the rest of the Club Sport series, this model has a polished case, a crown with a signature red “warning” ring (visible only when unscrewed), and a domed sapphire crystal with a colourless anti-reflective coating on both sides. As often with Nomos, the lugs are fairly long, and the result is a watch that will feel larger on the wrist than the 34mm advertised on paper.

The Club Sport 34 features sunburst-finished dials in a choice of rosé (soft pink), gold, or purple, each with a matching recessed, azuré-textured running seconds subdial positioned at 6 o’clock. All dial colour options feature a mix of lightly recessed numerals and indices marking the hours, each filled with Super-LumiNova for enhanced visibility. This luminous coating also extends to the rhodium-plated hour and minute hands, ensuring readability in any lighting. And yes, it’s also a no-date watch.

Those who choose the sapphire caseback can view Nomos’s thin, 3.2mm automatic movement with the brand’s proprietary escapement and regulation system. The Club Sport Neomatik 34 is the smallest watch to house this precise and efficient movement found across the entire range, the automatic calibre DUW 3001, which operates at 21,600 vibrations/hour and provides a 42-hour power reserve. This Nomos movement boasts the typical three-quarter plate with rhodium plating and Glashütte stripes, also visible on the openworked rotor. Additional decorations include heat-blued screws – most notably holding the balance bridge – as well as perlage detailing on the mainplate.

Nomos has redesigned the integrated stainless steel bracelet for the Club Sport Neomatik 34 to complement its smaller case size perfectly. The bracelet, featuring a mix of satin-finished and polished surfaces, includes a deployment clasp and quick-change spring bars; lugs are 18mm wide. The price is EUR 2,780 for any of the dial colour options, when opting for a sapphire back. For more, visit nomos-glashuette.com.

  1. The lugs on these models are shortened, where Nomos is catering to a certain segment of potential buyers who have complained in recent years about lugs that are too long… we’ll see if the wearing comfort, which is recognized by those who already own Nomos, has been sacrificed.

  2. The lugs have indeed been significantly shortened. It is for the better to my eyes, and the wearing comfort hasn’t suffered at all, to the contrary actually on my very small 6 inch wrist.
