With the Multifort 8 One Crown, Mido turned its angular, integrated-sports model, the Multifort 8 Two Crowns, into a more streamlined, more versatile watch. The collection now expands with a two-tone edition that keeps the fundamentals that define the One Crown. Rose gold-coloured accents provide this latest version with a slightly softer, lifestyle-oriented character; the prices remain firmly in the accessible segment.

The case remains unchanged in dimensions, measuring 40mm in diameter with a compact 44.86mm lug-to-lug and a fairly slim sub-10mm profile. The Multifort 8 One Crown wears smaller thanks to the integrated bracelet construction. The octagonal bezel, for this version PVD-coated in rose gold, is sharply faceted and alternates polished and satin finishes for light play. The crown echoes the bezel’s geometry and screws down to ensure the 100m water-resistance. Sapphire crystals front and back, both with anti-reflective coating, complete a robust yet refined package.

The matte black dial features horizontal lines for texture. Rose gold-coloured applied indices and tri-faceted hands bring warmth and contrast, all filled with white Super-LumiNova for low-light legibility. A white minute track is the inclined flange, and the date window is at 3 o’clock, practical and unobtrusive.

The watch is powered by calibre 80, also known as the Powermatic 80. This automatic movement, an evolution of the emblematic ETA 2824, runs at 21,600 vibrations/hour (3Hz frequency) and delivers an 80-hour power reserve. The Nivachron balance spring enhances resistance to shocks and magnetism, in line with the Multifort’s positioning as a dependable daily watch.

The integrated steel bracelet is a key part of the design. Satin-finished outer links contrast with rose gold-coloured central links. A folding clasp with push buttons and a quick-change system makes strap swaps easy.

The Mido Multifort 8 One Crown Two-Tone is part of the regular collection and immediately available. The retail price is set at EUR 1,150 or CHF 960; for more information, please visit midowatches.com.
