Nomos hit the bull’s eye with the release of its Club Sport Neomatik Worldtimer last year. With its resilient case build, slim profile, fun dial colours, user-friendliness and in-house movement, the Worltimer is a very complete travel companion without a first-class ticket price. Originally available with an interchangeable steel bracelet or textile strap, the two new limited-edition Worldtimers, Reverie and Roam, are now paired with leather straps and feature new colour schemes.

One of the most useful complications for travellers crossing different time zones, the world timer trumps a simpler GMT watch by offering an overview of the time around the world. Given the complication, the Club Sport Neomatik Worldtimer‘s 40mm stainless steel case is surprisingly slim, measuring just 9.9mm thick. Polished throughout, the case features a screw-down crown to ensure the 100m water-resistance, and a practical red warning ring around the stem to alert the user if the crown has not been fully screwed down. User-friendliness is highlighted by the pusher at 2 o’clock, which advances the city ring and the central hour hand in tandem to set local time.

Once again, Nomos demonstrates its keen eye for creating colourful, contemporary dials. The Reverie has a soothing, sunray-brushed, champagne-coloured dial with yellow, sand and wine red accents, while Roam’s champagne dial features light blue, sand and green details. More than just pleasing colour combinations, they highlight certain functions and make consulting local and home time foolproof. Like earlier editions, the contrasting colour of the city ring on the periphery represents the 24 time zones using 24 city airport codes (IATA). Once the city has been selected via the pusher, a yellow or orange bar (depending on the model) appears beneath the three-letter IATA code at noon, and the time around the world can be consulted on the fixed minute track with its + and – values.

The slightly recessed sub-dial at 3 o’clock indicates home or reference time with graphic clarity thanks to the two-tone 24-hour scale with day/night indications and an orange or yellow hand. A pusher at 8 o’clock in the case flank is used to adjust the home time hand. The snailed small seconds counter is displayed at 6 o’clock, and the pencil-shaped hour and minute hands and indices glow in the dark with blue Super-LumiNova.

The new watches are powered by the Nomos calibre DUW 3202 – based on the Neomatik architecture – an automatic movement with a fully integrated world time complication. With a thickness of just 4.8mm, the movement has an in-house escapement and hairspring, a 42-hour power reserve and a stop-seconds mechanism.

As mentioned, these new Nomos Club Sport Neomatik Worldtimer models are now paired with durable 20mm brown Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan leather straps. The Reverie and Roam are limited editions of 175 pieces each and share a retail price of EUR 3,490 or USD 5,190. More information at nomos-glashuette.com.
