A new Green Edition of the Louis Moinet Impulsion Titanium Chronograph Tourbillon
Carbon, smoked sapphire, and a green-red palette energise Louis Moinet’s openworked chronograph-tourbillon architecture.
The Impulsion by Louis Moinet is already one of the more extroverted ways to pair a chronograph and a tourbillon. For Dubai Watch Week 2025, the brand dials up the theatre with a sharp new act: the Impulsion Titanium Green, a limited edition that blends carbon, smoked sapphire and green-and-red colourway with the same openworked movement that made the original Impulsion such a notable release.
The latest iteration of the Louis Moinet Impulsion retains the sculptural 42.5mm case crafted from Grade-5 titanium, with crisp facets, openworked flanks and tight tolerances, but here the contrasts are pushed: polished bevels break across satin and micro-bead-blasted surfaces; cut-outs in the sides expose a black-tinted inner frame; front and back are sealed with sapphire crystals with AR-treatment on both sides. Thickness is 14.75mm, but the design helps the watch sit low and stable. Water-resistance remains a nominal 30m. The four main external elements (two lateral sections, bezel, and caseback) are individually finished and assembled, giving the watch a “machined sculpture” feel that Louis Moinet fans will recognise.
The dial side is where this special edition connects to Dubai Watch Week. A deep green chapter ring carries the minutes, with red hash marks every five for a bit of a motorsport vibe. The counters for running seconds and 30-minute totaliser are smoked sapphire, floating above a mainplate sheathed in carbon fibre that extends beneath the 6 o’clock aperture. The hour and minutes hands are faceted, skeletonised and lumed; all chronograph pointers boast fine red tips, echoed by a red index atop the tourbillon cage. The overall effect is technical but legible, green dominates, red guides, and dark layers create depth.
Visible from both sides, the hand-wound calibre LM114, developed with Concepto, offers a rare combination: a dial-side, column-wheel monopusher chronograph (start/stop/reset from the single 2 o’clock pusher) paired with a flying tourbillon with an off-centre cage turning once per minute. The chronograph works and horizontal clutch are fully on display at 12 o’clock; the cage at 6 o’clock adds motion and symmetry. Power comes from twin barrels arranged in series; they provide 96 hours of autonomy. Finishing balances instrumentality with flourish: straight graining and satin textures on the dial side; broad Geneva waves and openwork on the back.
The Louis Moinet Titanium Green is worn on a preformed Louisiana alligator strap dyed to match the chapter ring, stitched in red to tie into the dial accents, with alligator lining. The strap is closed with a triple-blade folding clasp with fine adjustment. Created specifically for Dubai Watch Week 2025, the Impulsion Titanium Green is limited to 12 pieces. Official pricing hasn’t been announced, but should be around CHF 110,000 (excl. taxes).

It’s refreshing to see some serious technical innovation and design with this piece, it’s astounding on paper.
