The New Urwerk UR-100V Magic T Hunter Green

Foget about grey and black... The new UR is green (discreetly green...)

| By Denis Peshkov | 2 min read |

Maybe the latest Urwerk timepiece is not as bright-coloured as some other brand’s watches we’ve seen lately, but who would have thought that the signature monochromatic, for many years seemingly grey and black-coloured Urwerk catalogue would be adding so many different hues? Hunter Green is not exactly overly vibrant, certainly not as much as the UR-100V LightSpeed, yet it adds a new, cool look to the UR-100 series. We are happy to share the news with you.

Much like the UR-100V Magic T introduced in 2023, the new Hunter Green variant emphasises the refined finishing of its “metallic ash green” sandblasted and shot-blasted titanium case, designed to interact beautifully with ambient light. The 41mm x 49.7mm case, measuring 14mm thick, stays true to the design language of the UR-100 series, featuring a crown cleverly recessed at the top (in the 12 o’clock position of a traditional watch).

The sapphire crystal protects Urwerk’s signature satellite display, where the current hour is carried on a module that moves along a curved 120-degree track marked from 0 to 60. When the minute module reaches the green-marked “60,” it snaps back to align with the next hour satellite, ready to repeat its seamless motion for the next cycle.

On the dial side, a flange marked “ROTAT” displays Earth’s rotational distance travelled, while the right side of the flange, marked “REVOL,” references the 35,742 km orbital distance Earth travels – in other words, the speed of Earth’s rotation at the equator and its orbital velocity around the Sun within a 20-minute interval. We’ve explored this unique display in detail here

The caseback of the UR-100V Magic T allows a view of calibre 12.02, an automatic Vaucher base movement operating at a 28,800 vibrations/hour frequency and a 48-hour power reserve, with the perforated rotor and equipped with a propeller-like Windfänger airscrew to regulate winding by minimising shocks and reduction of wear.

The Urwerk UR-100V Magic T Hunter Green is worn on a titanium bracelet with matching case finishes. The price is CHF 58,000, tax excluded. It is said the be a limited edition, not by number but by production capacities. For more information, please visit www.urwerk.com.
