The New, Classic-Looking MeisterSinger Primatic 365

The single-hand Primatic with power reserve receives a makeover, adding elegance.

Since its founding in 2001, MeisterSinger has introduced various functional complications to its single-hand watches, including jumping hours, moon phases, and even the Bell Hora series, which chimes on the hour. In 2022, the Münster-based brand unveiled the all-new Primatic collection, adding a power reserve watch to its lineup. Though MeisterSinger had previously incorporated this complication in the exclusive Circularis Power Reserve, the Primatic offers it as part of the standard collection, which initially included four models, with a limited-edition Primatic 365 featuring a “historical” dial design added since then. Now, two new Primatic references join the permanent collection, each retaining the classic MeisterSinger 365 dial features, distinguished by new colour options.

The two new MeisterSinger Primatic 365 watches feature a polished stainless steel case measuring 41.5mm in diameter and 10.5mm in thickness, with up to 50 meters of water resistance. A silver-plated, sloping bezel frames the domed sapphire crystal on top of the dial, while the mineral glass exhibition caseback, secured by six functional screws, provides a view of the movement. The sizable fluted push-pull crown at 3 o´clock is adorned with the brand´s logo.

The Primatic 365 Sunburst Bordeaux and Sunburst Steelblue dials retain the layout of earlier Primatic references but introduce decorative lettering and gold accents. These accents include the hour indices, corresponding double-digit markers, and the lower end of the power reserve gauge positioned at 6 o’clock. True to MeisterSinger’s signature style, the minute track is marked in 5-minute intervals, with “30” placed on the sloping inner flange to denote each half-hour.

The logo, model name, and “automatic” designation are printed in white, balancing the golden highlights for a refined look. The special central single hand for time-reading and a smaller hand on the power reserve gauge, both finished in white, stand out against the dark backgrounds of the dials. Unlike the standard Primatic references and the limited edition, these new Primatic 365 models omit the date window at 3 o’clock, allowing one to focus on their clean aesthetic.

For timekeeping, the Primatic 365 watches use the Sellita-made SW270-1 movement, which operates at 28,800 vibrations/hour and provides 38 hours of power reserve. The movement´s decoration includes perlage and blued screws visible through the caseback, along with the MeisterSinger logo-shaped rotor. The MeisterSinger Primatic 365 Sunburst Bordeaux and Sunburst Steelblue are worn on a cognac or brown crocodile-embossed cowhide leather strap, closed with a pin buckle. The price is EUR 2,490; for more, please visit meistersinger.com.
