The Bell & Ross BR-05 GMT Green Steel
Bell & Ross adds a sage green dial to its integrated bracelet GMT, leaving the successful formula unchanged.
Following the black, white and sky blue editions, Bell & Ross expands its urban-inspired BR-05 collection with the new BR-05 GMT Green Steel. The latest model introduces a new sage green colourway while retaining the same architecture, dimensions and movement as the existing GMT, with a focus on a fresh aesthetic.
Like every BR-05, the new GMT is derived from the brand’s signature “circle within a square” design first seen on the BR-01 cockpit-inspired watches. Adapted for everyday wear, the BR-05 softens the utilitarian look with rounded edges and an integrated bracelet, giving the watch a more refined, chic appearance. The 100m water-resistant stainless steel case measures 41mm in diameter and 11mm thick, fitting neatly between the 40mm time-only BR-05 and the 42mm chronograph. The case features a combination of satin-brushed and polished finishes, a screw-down crown protected by integrated guards, and sapphire crystals on both sides.
For this new dial version, Bell & Ross applies a sunray sage green finish with subtle silver reflections. The dial is created using a three-stage process that begins with a sunray-brushed metal base, followed by a tinted green lacquer and a final transparent varnish to enhance depth and durability. Depending on the light, the dial shifts between muted green and metallic silver tones.
Applied rhodium-plated indices and oversized Arabic numerals retain the familiar BR-05 layout, while skeletonised hour and minute hands, together with the GMT hand, are filled with white Super-LumiNova X1. Around the dial sits a two-tone green and silver-grey 24-hour flange, allowing the arrow-shaped GMT hand to display a second time zone while clearly distinguishing day and night hours.
The watch is powered by the automatic calibre BR-CAL.325-1, (Sellita SW-330-2 base with a caller/office GMT functionality) and offering a 54-hour power reserve. In addition to the hours, minutes, central seconds and date, the movement features an independently adjustable GMT hand, making it practical for travellers tracking a second time zone. The movement is visible through the sapphire caseback.
The new Bell & Ross BR-05 GMT Green Steel is available either on the integrated stainless steel bracelet or a matching green rubber strap. It is now part of the permanent collection, priced at EUR 5,800 on the steel bracelet and EUR 5,300 on the rubber strap. For more details, please visit bellross.com.
