The New and Upgraded Christopher Ward C60 Trident Lumière
A titanium heavyweight 300m dive watch with superlative luminescence joins CW’s C60 Trident family.
Founded in 2004, Christopher Ward is the UK’s leading mechanical watchmaker, combining English design with Swiss movements. To avoid the markups of premium Swiss watches, Christopher Ward shuns the usual trappings of marketing, celebrity endorsements and third-party retailers. One of the first fully online watch brands, CW’s watches offer great value for the money. The latest addition to the brand’s Dive collection is the C60 Trident Lumière, an all-titanium, chronometer-certified dive watch with a helium escape valve. The name Lumière refers to the extra amount of luminescence applied to practically every indication of the dive watch, making it five times more luminescent than regular Trident dive watches.
The grade 2 titanium case measures 41mm in diameter with a thickness of 10.85mm and a lug-to-lug of 47.9mm. Revealing mostly satin-brushed surfaces, the architecture of the case is highlighted with polished bevels on the bolt-on crown guards and case flanks. The coin-edged 120-click bezel is unidirectional and has a brushed ceramic insert with a 60-minute dive scale with luminescent numerals and markings. Resistant to depths of 300 metres, the watch can handle saturation dives thanks to the helium escape valve on the left case flank.
Available in three colours – orange, blue and black – the textured dial has the most lume CW has ever applied to a dive watch. The faceted 3D indices, the applied logo at noon and the three central hands are made from solid Globolight for enhanced luminescence. Globolight is an innovative ceramic material infused with Super-LumiNova. Of note, the blue dial has a gradient effect.
Thanks to the case design and a slim 3.6mm thick automatic Sellita SW300-1 powering the movement, the case height is relatively lean for a dive watch. The Swiss movement, which can be seen through the caseback window, has a 56h power reserve and COSC-certified chronometer accuracy of -4/+6 seconds per day.
The C60 Trident Lumière marks the debut of the updated three-link Bader bracelet. Made from grade 2 titanium, it has screw links, a 6.5mm taper and combines brushed surfaces with polished bevels along the flank of each link. The clasp has been improved and features a new push-button system to engage the on-the-fly micro-adjustment.
The new C60 Trident Lumière can be bought online at Christopher Ward. Combined with a soft Aquaflex rubber strap, the watch retails for GBP 1,650 / EUR 2,175, while the titanium bracelet models increase slightly to GBP 1,985 / EUR 2,625.

why doing a “diver like” watch and 3atm resistance?
To the above poster it is 30 atm not 3
