Longines Evidenza Sector Dial Collection 2022

Longines certainly knows how to bring its historical models back to life. Most of these attractive vintage-inspired models are congregated in the Heritage collection, including the Classic Sector Dial, the Tuxedo Chronograph and the Legend Diver. Historical designs are not the exclusivity of this collection, however, and the brand with the winged hourglass logo often includes them in its more traditional ranges. Case in point, the new Longines Evidenza collection of tonneau-shaped models for 2022, which now comes equipped with elegant and vintage-ish sector dials. And in a wide array of colours.

Longines Evidenza Sector Dial Collection 2022

The Longines Evidenza might not be the most sought-after collection of the brand, but it has a legitimate background and is a reinterpretation of a tonneau-shaped model launched over a century ago. Simple, slightly different, and very elegant, it is meant to fit men’s and women’s wrists with its compact dimensions. The case is 26mm in width and just over 30mm in length. Small on paper, but also good for those who want that retro feel of a compact watch. A new detail, all models have a crown tube in blue-coloured aluminium.

New for this year are the dials, which not only have a new design but are also available in an array of colours, ranging from discreet classic colours to bright and original ones. The new Longines Evidenza has new Roman numerals printed over the sunray-brushed surface and positioned to form a so-called sector. Depending on the colour, this sector and the hands are either gold- or silver-coloured. The dial comes in silver, green, red, anthracite, champagne or blue. And the strap is harmonized to create a compelling look. Note that a multi-link stainless steel bracelet is also available, and both options come with a triple folding clasp.

Under the screwed steel back is a classic automatic movement, with a few refinements. The calibre L592 relies on an ETA base and runs at a 4Hz frequency. It delivers a 45-hour power reserve and is most notable for its silicon balance spring, which makes it anti-magnetic. It displays the hours, minutes, seconds and a date at 6 o’clock.

Longines Evidenza Sector Dial Collection 2022

The Longines Evidenza 2022 collection is not limited and is now available from the brand and retailers. It is priced at EUR 2,010 on leather strap and EUR 2,070 on steel bracelet. For more details, please visit www.longines.com.

  1. Longines went to the trouble of dialling in gold gilded roman numerals for a classic appearance, then decided to slap a white date wheel from spare parts underneath with black Arabic numbers. Seamless it is not. The case shape is interesting though.

  2. EDIT: To bad Longines didn’t make the new EVIDENZAs 40mm x 27 or 30mm wide, otherwise, the new EVIDENZAs are stunning.

  3. That blue coloured crown tube kills it (in a bad way) for me. I think this would have been a much more elegant design with a very slightly thicker crown fitted close to the case.

  4. Longines- again ruins a good watch with some hideous touches. Who in their right mind puts a date window on a dress watch dial! Almost every watch of theirs- Spirit to Avigation, Conquest to HQ has a design dealbreaker.
They should learn from Lorier Zephyr- anyday better than this. Tonneau case, similar size, gorgeous guilloche dial, 8mm thick and no ugly date. All at 1/4th of the price! Yeah the curves of the Evidenza case are more artful and handset is nicer and comes in more colours but it’s a no contest!

  5. An aluminum “colored” stem sleeve? Plated brass would have been better, and polished steel even better still.
