The New H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Perpetual Moon Concept Meteorite
Calibrated with lunatic precision, the Moon performs its cycles of waxing and waning, suspended in a golden meteorite cosmos.
With its streamlined case, flexible integrated bracelet and sensual contours, H. Moser & Cie.’s sleek Streamliner luxury sports watch continues its journey onwards, and in this case upwards, with no signs of losing steam. Coinciding with Dubai Watch Week 2025, Moser unveils the new Streamliner Perpetual Moon Concept Meteorite, a hyper-accurate moon phase complication framed by a shard of outerspace rock culled from the Gibeon meteorite.
Introduced in 2020 with a Flyback Chronograph, Moser’s aptly named Streamliner luxury sports watch collection did not try to emulate the formula of the Royal Oak and its countless copycats. Instead, the Streamliner drew inspiration from the remarkable vehicles that emerged in America during the Streamliner Moderne period (1920s-1930s), which celebrated the modern machine age and the newfound passion for speed with sleek, aerodynamic designs employed on trains, ocean liners, aeroplanes, and cars.
The new Perpetual Moon comes in a 40mm steel case with a thickness of 11.4mm (with sapphire crystal 13.2mm) and a water-resistance of 120 metres. Flowing seamlessly from the lug-free case, the slinky bracelet has articulated, tapering lugs that adapt perfectly to the wrist. The case is decorated with satin-brushed finishes, and the slightly recessed case middle is also brushed and sandwiched between two polished bevels. Following suit, the bracelet’s links are vertically brushed with contrasting polished bevels between each link and the watch is attached to the wrist with a triple-folding clasp.
Connecting with the vastness of the universe, the dial is crafted from a sliver of the Gibeon meteorite that hurtled through space before crashing in Namibia. With its unique Widmanstätten pattern produced by the iron-nickel alloys, the meteorite dial is embellished with a golden tone and, in true Moser fashion, a fumé or gradient effect. Like all Moser’s “concept “ watches, the dial is stripped down to its bare essentials. Bereft of hour markers, the only other elements on the dial are the central red gold hour and minute hands with Globolight inserts and the large cut-out hole at 6 o’clock for the moon phase complication.
This is not the first moon phase complication from Moser. We’ve enjoyed it before on board a couple of Endeavour models, including the light-absorbing Vantablack watch. Fitted with one of the most precise moon-phase complications available, with one day’s deviation every 1,027 years, the phases can be adjusted to the minute by a pusher on the side of the case. The red gold Moon is depicted with a golden, textured surface and is set against a black background.
Unlike the MC 801 hand-wound calibre powering the Endeavour Perpetual Moon models, the Streamliner is fitted with the in-house automatic calibre HMC 270 with a bi-directional pawl winding system, a skeletonised 28k red gold rotor and a 72-hour power reserve. The Streamliner Perpetual Moon Concept Meteorite retails for CHF 35,000 (excl. tax). More information at h-moser.com.
