Tissot Pumps Up and Opens Up the PRX for Damian Lillard
Tissot’s second collaboration with NBA star Damian Lillard introduces the first skeletonised, hand-wound PRX in a 44mm case, with an accessory that turns it into a pocket watch.
The PRX is one of Tissot’s defining collections, offering an accessible take on the integrated design inspired by the 1970s watches, with contemporary proportions and mechanics. The popular concept takes on a different form with the new PRX Skeleton Damian Lillard Special Edition. Created with the NBA player known as “Dame Time”, this second PRX edition developed with Lillard, following the 40mm Powermatic 80 model with gold PVD accents, introduces several firsts for the collection: a skeletonised display, a hand-wound mechanical movement and, at 44mm, the largest PRX case to date.
The stainless steel case measures 44mm in diameter and retains the PRX’s integrated design. The Dame Time engravings on the left side and the transparent caseback carrying Damian Lillard’s signature distinguish this edition from the regular collection. The case is topped with sapphire crystal, treated with an anti-reflective coating. Water resistance is 100m.
The watch’s burgundy colour scheme runs throughout the dial, with a ring framing the openworked movement with the hour markers. Another burgundy-coloured ring supports the faceted hour markers on their other end. The matching ring with Dame Time inscriptions encircles the running seconds display, with an inclined gold-coloured track and the seconds hand shaped like Lillard’s monogram. The hour and minute hands and the indices are treated with Super-LumiNova for legibility in the dark.
The PRX Skeleton Damian Lillard is the first hand-wound PRX, creating a more direct relationship between the wearer and the mechanics and adding a daily ritual absent from the automatic Powermatic 80 PRX models. With much of the movement visible through the openworked display, the construction is part of the watch’s character. The skeleton movement is based on the ETA Unitas 6497, a hand-wound calibre that Tissot has used in its other watches (as did Hamilton, and pre-Vendome Panerai). The calibre operates at 18,800 vibrations/hour and has a 46-hour power reserve.
The PRX Skeleton Damian Lillard comes with two burgundy straps, rubber and leather. The rubber version has a crosshatched pattern inspired by milk crates used as makeshift basketball hoops, recalling the improvised courts of Lillard’s childhood. Both straps feature a quick-release system and are secured with a branded pin buckle.
An unexpected addition is the dedicated pocket-watch conversion set, which lets you wear this PRX differently. It is an unusual option for an integrated-design sports watch and broadens the ways this edition can be used. The PRX Skeleton Damian Lillard Special Edition is launching today, coinciding with the Portland Trail Blazers’ season opener against the Phoenix Suns. The price is CHF 1,735 or EUR 1,895.

Nice! The letter ‘D’ gives this watch a subtle, refined look!
