Festival of Time in Waterford, Ireland
Showcasing independent watchmaking for the first time in Ireland.
There’s great news for our Irish readers (and those close enough to travel and spend a few days in Ireland). Organised by Johnny McElherron / TheWatchPress and the Waterford Treasures Complex of museums, the International Festival of Time will showcase independent watchmakers in Ireland. This celebration of artisanal watchmaking will be an excellent opportunity for watch enthusiasts to meet with a great lineup of independent watchmakers and discover their latest creations. As the first event of its kind in the country, it will also constitute a perfect introduction to independent mechanical watchmaking in Ireland.
This inaugural edition of the International Festival of Time will be held in the spectacular setting of the award-winning Waterford Treasures complex of museums in the heart of Ireland’s oldest city. It will welcome many of the finest and most respected Masters in the world of contemporary independent watch and clock making, who, for three days, between May 20 and 22, will exhibit their horological masterpieces.
Among the lineup for the International Festival of Time are Bernhard Lederer, Vianney Halter, Andreas Strehler, Thomas Prescher, Paul Gerber, Patrik Sjögren, Sebastien Naeschke, Giles Ellis, Christian Lass, Philippe Narbel, Bastien Vuillomenet, Rune Bakkendorrf, Bryan Leech, Ireland’s own John and Stephen McGonigle … and more still to be confirmed.
