Earthen Adds Three New Ceramic Colours to its Accessible Summit MK2 Collection

Earthen Company is still a very young watch brand, but it has already done quite a bit with the Summit collection. The Hong Kong-based brand launched in 2025 with three compact ceramic field watches, pairing a 38mm case with an oversized crown, clean dials, and a Miyota automatic movement, all for less than a thousand dollars. The formula worked, and Earthen has since expanded the Summit with the Nightfall and Moonglow, bringing aventurine dials into the mix. Now, the brand is making another fairly simple change that makes quite a big difference. Instead of sticking to black and white ceramic cases, the Summit MK2 is getting some colour, with three new versions named Dune Devil, Glade, and Après-Bleu.

Ceramic is already a slightly more unusual choice for a field watch than the usual steel, so why not have some fun with it? The black and white cases made the Summit look pretty serious, but the new beige, navy, and dark green versions give the same watch a completely different mood without changing what already worked. These three watches share the same 38mm by 10mm Summit MK2 case, with ceramic used for both the case and bezel. There is also the familiar skier-descent graphic at 6 o’clock, and these new Summit MK2s also get a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides, an upgrade that was introduced with the MK2 platform.

Dune Devil is the warmest of the three, with a beige ceramic case, a brown dial, an orange accent on the crown, and an orange rubber ring around the dial. The orange continues onto one of its two FKM rubber straps, while the other is dark brown. It has a slightly retro outdoorsy feel to it. Then there is Glade, which is probably the most fun of the bunch. The case is dark green ceramic, housing a full green lume dial. There is a little mint-green accent on the crown too. In normal light, it has that soft green-on-green look, but once the lights go down, the entire dial comes alive. This one comes with grey and green FKM straps.

Après-Bleu uses navy ceramic with a navy dial and cream-coloured hands and indexes. This one feels closest to the original Summit idea, especially if you liked the black Overcast, but the blue case makes it much less serious. The cream details also give it a nice old-school feel, and it comes with navy and khaki FKM straps.

The MK2 also uses a slightly different dial layout from the original Summit, with the Arabic numerals at 3, 6, and 9 replaced by rectangular indexes, while the inverted triangle remains at 12. Its markers are multi-layered and pad-printed, adding a bit of depth to the dial. All three keep the large numerals and railway-style outer track for quick and easy timekeeping.

The three watches use the same Miyota 9039 automatic movement as the MK2 platform, with a 28,800 vibrations/hour frequency and around 42 hours of power reserve. Since each watch comes with two colour-coordinated FKM rubber straps, you are getting a couple of different looks for your wrist. They are not limited editions, although production is limited by the brand’s current capacity.
