De Bethune DB28XP Kind of Blue Tourbillon

Blending the sleek and thin profile of the DB28XP with the aesthetics of the DB28 Kind of Blue Tourbillon.

Using its classic codes, De Bethune merges the sleek profile of the ultra-thin DB28XP with the captivating blue hue debuted on the DB28T Kind of Blue to present a quintessentially De Bethune creation. As one of De Bethune’s most iconic models, the DB28 showcases the brand’s signature floating lugs, a crown positioned at 12 o’clock and a distinctive delta-shaped mainplate at the centre of the dial. This new futuristic creation follows the DB28XP Kind of Blue, adding the captivating ballet of a tourbillon regulator.

Released in a limited edition of just 20 pieces, the new De Bethune DB28XP Kind of Blue Tourbillon is a seamless evolution of two iconic De Bethune models: the DB28XP and the DB28 Kind of Blue. As such, it encapsulates De Bethune’s signature themes and features. The 43mm case, with a slim profile of 9.1mm, highlights the brand’s distinctive floating lugs and a crown positioned at twelve o’clock. Crafted from grade 5 titanium, its deep and luminous blue hue is achieved through natural oxidation of the material.

Offering a captivating sense of depth, the face of the watch is also crafted in pure De Bethune style.  It features microlight engraving and Milky Way patterns created through laser micro-milling and gilded with 24-carat gold leaf.

The watch is powered by the hand-wound De Bethune calibre DB2009v5. For enhanced performance, the tourbillon is fitted with a silicon escape wheel and it beats at 36,000 vibrations per hour while its 0.18-gram lightweight cage rotates every 30 seconds.  Held in place by an openworked blued bridge, it comprises 63 components, the lightest of which weighs less than 0.0001 gram. The exhibition caseback allows you to discover the reverse side of the movement and to check the power reserve. The DB2009v5’s twin barrels ensure a robust 5-day power reserve.

The De Bethune DB28XP Kind of Blue Tourbillon is released in a limited edition of 20 pieces. It is presented on an alligator leather with alligator lining and fitted with a blued titanium buckle. Price is set at CHF 220,000 excl. taxes.
