Three New Ceramic Colours for the Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Chronograph

Previously reserved for round Hublot watches only, Sand Beige, Dark Green and Sky Blue ceramic hues come to the shaped BB.

Hublot introduced its Spirit of Big Bang collection in 2014 as an evolution of the popular Big Bang series. It retained all the familiar Bang elements yet was presented in an entirely new shape the brand seemed to have avoided until then – the barrel. Over the decade, the tonneau case series has grown and it is incredibly prolific in the chronograph category, with nearly thirty references in various materials and colours. At the start of this year, the brand expanded its offer by adding three new Spirit of Big Bang Chronograph references in coloured ceramic.

The new Spirit of Big Bang Chronographs are cast in 42mm by 14.1mm Sand Beige, Dark Green and Sky Blue ceramic cases, bezel and caseback included, with a micro-blasted and polished finish. The crown, rectangular pushers, lugs and other distinctive elements align with the rest of the series, yet the case colours that extend to the dial design make the new references look undeniably fresh and appealing.

The dials offer a familiar see-through appearance and layout with the skeletonized hour and minutes hands, counters at 3 and 6 for the chronograph function and a running seconds sub-dial at 9 o´clock. The chronograph central seconds hand with an open tip and H-logo counterweight is a staple, and the frame at 4:30 highlights the date.

As customary with the model range, the sapphire crystal dial allows a view of the multi-level, skeletonized chronograph calibre HUB4700 – a Hublot version of the high-beat automatic Zenith El Primero. Enhanced and modernized, equipped with a low-friction silicon escape wheel, it operates at 36,000 vibrations/hour frequency and has a 50-hour power reserve.

The new Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Chronographs in Sand Beige, Dark Green, and Sky Blue ceramic are 100m water-resistant and worn on black rubber straps with case-matching coloured central inlays. Each is a limited edition of 200 pieces. Prices are CHF 24,900 or EUR 28,500, and the watches are available at Hublot boutiques and authorized retailers worldwide. For more, visit hublot.com.
