Five Super-Stylish Luxury Sports Watches Priced Below 1k
Looking sporty-chic and fab, on a budget!
Style, preferably paired with a good dose of proverbial substance, doens’t have to cost an arm and a leg. Sure, we can all get head-over-heels with ultra-complex and astronomically priced watches, but that’s not where the majority of collectors and enthusiasts shop. So, for those looking for a stylish yet affordable sporty-chic option in what remains a highly popular style of watches, the integrated sports watch, we’ve done some digging and rounded up what we feel are five very solid deals for anyone to consider. And best of all, each one is priced below EUR 1,000. Ok, not all, as we went slightly over with the last one…
Mido Multifort 8 One Crown
Mido is on a roll as of late, with a string of very solid and stylish watches. The latest to join the Multifort collection is this Multifort 8 One Crown, a simpler version of its Two Crowns sibling. The most striking variant is this one, with an electric blue dial that just pops, but a more toned-down black dial is also available. The octagonal bezel and crown add tons of character, and it’s water-resistant to 100 meters. Power comes from the Mido Calibre 80, which runs at 21,600vph and offers 80 hours of running time. Prices start at EUR 950 on a black rubber strap (black dial only), with this all-steel model coming in at a rather fair EUR 990.

Citizen Tsuyosa 60 automatic Two-Tone
It’s no secret we’re quite fans of the Tsuyosa series. The collection is praised for its on-trend looks, neat details and above all, incredible value-for-money. This Tsuyosa 60 Automatic Two-Tone is one of the most expressive ones, and retails for EUR 429. And that’s for a fully in-house made automatic with a two-tone (ok, IP-coated) stainless steel 40mm case with stamped guilloché-like dial and integrated multi-link steel bracelet. Citizen’s Calibre 8130 automatic gives it a very reasonable power reserve of 60 hours, and it not only tells time, but also the date. It’s really an incredible package, and one that will surely get noticed on the wrist!

Yema Urban Traveller
While most attention might go to Yema’s iconic Superman, the Urban Traveller remains a well-rounded and original take on the concept of the affordable luxury sports watch. The flat front of the case, the 1980s Sous-Marine-inspired notched bezel, the raised sapphire crystal, and the historic caseback. It makes for a watch with bundles of character, which can back things up with the reliable and easily serviced Sellita SW200-1. You have a choice of three dial colours, and it comes on either an integrated steel bracelet with solid links or a comfy FKM rubber strap. The price for each, regardless of strap or bracelet, is set at EUR 990.

Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 38mm Titanium
Since its release in 2021, the PRX has taken the sub-1000 euro market by storm. With tons of colours and multiple sizes available, there’s a PRX for everyone. But where some complained the 40mm was too big, and the 35mm too petite, Tissot added a 38mm PRX not too long ago. And surprise-surprise, that comes in grade 2 titanium and at a similar very strong pricepoint. For just EUR 849, you get a full titanium watch that performs as well as it looks. Two dials are available, blue and grey, of which we think the latter is the best. Equipped with the now well and truly proven Powermatic 80 automatic, it’s still a superb deal all around!

Maen Manhattan 37 Ultra-Thin
Something a little off the beaten path but no less sleek is Maen’s Manhattan 37 Ultra-Thin. It ticks all the right boxes, with a shaped case, faceted bezel and a crystal that follows the same profile, a textured dial, and a slim mechanical movement. Where the Manhattan 37 Ultra-Thin shines is the height of the case, which is an impressively slender 7.1mm! The green ‘Tuscan’ dial looks very tasty, and power comes from the hand-wound Peseux 7001. The three-link integrated bracelet completes the look perfectly. Admittedly, we go slightly over our self-imposed budget with this one, as it retails for EUR 1,159 excl. VAT, but it’s still a solid deal!
