Launched in 2025, the Bianchet UltraFino Tonneau marked several firsts for the young independent: its first ultra-thin watch, first automatic movement, and first integrated-bracelet model. Initially presented in Grade 5 titanium, the collection has since expanded into sapphire crystal and carbon fibre, including a recent Maserati edition. Earlier this year, Bianchet introduced white and deep-blue full-ceramic references. Now, the brand presents another version, in black ceramic, replacing the signature rubber seam beneath the bezel with a rose-gold component.

The new UltraFino Tonneau measures 40mm wide, 47.5mm long and 8.9mm thick. Its tonneau-shaped case combines satin-brushed surfaces with polished bevels, and the integrated ceramic bracelet gets the same finishing. The new version differs from other Bianchet UltraFino Tonneau references with the so-called Golden Line. Usually made from rubber, a separate component is now crafted from 18K rose gold and positioned under the bezel, creating a narrow line between the black ceramic surfaces. Fitted with sapphire crystals on the front and back, the watch remains 50m water-resistant.

As with other UltraFino Tonneau models, there is no conventional dial. The movement is visible from both sides, with a black PVD finish across its titanium construction. Rose-gold hands and the matching winding rotor provide the main contrast, harmonising the mechanical display with the Golden Line on the case.

The watch is powered by the proprietary UT01 automatic calibre, introduced with the launch of the B 1.618 UltraFino last year. It measures just 3.85mm thick and features a suspended barrel at 12 o’clock, balanced by the one-minute flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock. Operating at 21,600 vibrations/hour, the movement delivers a 60-hour power reserve. It is engineered to withstand shocks of up to 5,000G. The bridges are skeletonised and hand-finished.

The watch is worn on an integrated black ceramic bracelet, satin-brushed and with polished bevels. An additional black rubber strap is included with the purchase. Both use a quick-release system, so you don’t need tools for an easy swap.

The Bianchet Tonneau UltraFino Black Ceramic is priced at CHF 80,500, excluding taxes, up from CHF 72,500 for the white and blue ceramic editions. For more information, please visit bianchet.com.
