Bangalore Watch Company was founded in 2018 and has since built its catalogue with native India in focus. Aviation, cricket, space exploration and national industry have all served as foundations for its collections, often narrative-driven. Last year, the brand introduced the Peninsula Professional, a rugged, adventure-ready bezel-less sports watch inspired by India’s mountains, coastlines and forests. Now, the collection adds a far more conceptual Peninsula Carbon, a limited edition that shifts the Peninsula collection’s focus from nature to urban environments and their environmental footprint.

The Peninsula Carbon retains the same smooth pebble-shaped, bezel-less case introduced with the Peninsula Professional. Crafted from 316L stainless steel, it measures 44mm in diameter and 13.75mm in thickness, though the lug-less design helps it wear compactly on the wrist. The case is topped with a highly domed sapphire crystal with a double anti-reflective coating, a screw-down crown signed with the BWC logo, and a closed steel caseback. Water-resistance is rated at a solid 200m.

The dial is made from the ReforgeCarbon, a lightweight composite with marbled textures and unique chaotic patterns. Developed together with Bangalore-based material science company Carbon Craft, the ReforgeCarbon combines forged carbon fibre with recovered carbon black (rCB), a substance obtained through the pyrolysis of industrial waste materials that would otherwise release pollutants into the atmosphere.

Applied hour markers and hands are rhodium-coated and filled with BGW9 Grade-A Super-LumiNova for strong low-light legibility. The minutes track surrounding the dial is presented as a mock AQI scale, transitioning from green to deep red in reference to modern air-quality indexes. The tone-on-tone date window is at 6 o’clock.

The Peninsula Carbon is powered by the Sellita SW200-1 automatic calibre (ETA 2824 clone), which operates at 28,800 vibrations/hour and delivers approximately 41 hours of power reserve. The watch is worn on a high-density fluoro-elastomer rubber strap closed with a pin buckle.

The Bangalore Watch Company Peninsula Carbon is a limited edition of 100 pieces and will be available from May 26th, 2026, exclusively on the brand’s official website, www.bangalorewatchco.in. The price is set at USD 3,000 or INR 283,000.
