The Baltic Scalegraph for the Tour Auto 2025

The new Tour Auto edition has improved water resistance and a redesigned dial that is as dynamic as the race.

The Tour Auto is the historic reincarnation of the Tour de France Automobile, a race created in 1899 by the Automobile Club de France, and French brand Baltic is the official timer of the event this year again. As with previous year’s events and ahead of the 2025 edition of this vintage car rally, which will start on April 7th, the brand presents a limited edition timepiece. This year, it is the Baltic Scalegraph, an evolution of the Tricompax.

The new Baltic Scalegraph Tour Auto 2025 builds on the Tricompax Tour Auto 2024 foundation while introducing several key developments. The 39.5mm stainless steel case is now slightly thicker at 14.1mm and features screw-down chronograph pushers, boosting water resistance to 100m – a welcome upgrade on one side, maybe less for the screwed pushers… To each his own. The watch retains its brushed blue aluminium bezel with a tachymeter scale, along with the double-domed sapphire crystal and solid screwed caseback with engravings.

While the dial layout remains familiar, the design sees changes. The most notable update is the “big eye” counter at 3 o’clock and a shift from numerals to applied hour markers in a dynamic concentric line with accompanying Super-LumiNova dots. The main dial sports a lighter shade of blue, contrasting against the darker bezel and blue outermost minute/second track. The snailed subdials at 3 and 9 o’clock come in a light beige tone, while the 12-hour totalizer at 6 o’clock is quite subtle, marked only by indices and a small hand. As for the hands, the central hour and minute hands feature luminescent treatment, ensuring visibility in low light, while the central chronograph seconds hand is finished in blue, harmonizing with the overall colour scheme.

The new Baltic Scalegraph Tour Auto 2025 is powered by the SW510-M hand-wound chronograph movement developed by the Sellita (based on the 7750). It operates at 28,800 vibrations/hour and provides 63 hours of autonomy. The watch is offered on a steel flat link or beads of rice bracelet, and an additional navy blue Alcantara strap is included with the purchase.

The Scalegraph Tour Auto 2025 is a limited edition of 400 pieces, with the number engraved on a decorated caseback. The price is EUR 2,100 (incl. taxes) or EUR 1,750 (excl. taxes), and the watch goes on sale at the start of the Tour Auto on April 7th at 16:00 (UTC+1).
