The Compact ArtyA Luminity Wavy 35mm, with a New Micro-rotor Calibre
Waves of metal and crystal, layering architecture and texture, now revealed.

Not so long ago, this summer, ArtyA, the avant-garde, family-run Geneva atelier steered by Yvan Arpa, launched the Luminity Wavy collection, debuting 40mm timepieces, pairing sculpture-like titanium or full-sapphire cases. Inside was the brand’s first proprietary micro-rotor calibre, AMR-02, developed with the specialist movement maker Telos. The idea was to let movement and light do the design work. The line now expands with a shall we say more unisex 35mm format, boasting a new movement engineered for smaller cases.
The Luminity’s signature Wavy case keeps the flowing geometry of the brand’s recent creations and feels taut and precise at 35mm with an 11.45mm thickness. In Grade 5 titanium, full bead-blasting creates a soft, modern matte texture that ArtyA protects with a transparent DLC layer hardened to 1,200 HV. A sharply polished case band adds a crisp highlight. The full-sapphire option transforms the case into a light sculpture, with hand-polished facets that make transparency the focal point. Both versions have triple AR-coated sapphire crystals front and back, an open, engraved caseback secured with ArtyA’s screws, and water-resistance of 50m (titanium) or 30m (sapphire).
For the dial, the new ArtyA Luminity Wavy offers two options. The transparent sapphire dial maximises visibility of the calibre while preserving legibility via brushed and faceted indexes and diamond-cut hands. For a more graphic take, stone dials feature a centred inlay in mother-of-pearl or amazonite; the ringed layout frames the mechanics while adding colour and texture. In both, displays remain clean and purposeful: central hours/minutes with a small seconds at 12 o’clock, positioned to balance the architecture beneath.
Purpose-built for the 35mm format, the new calibre AMR-01 is an automatic micro-rotor calibre measuring 25.6mm in diameter. Like the larger AMR-02, it is 3.6mm thick, offering over three days of autonomy and 82 hours of chronometric performance, operating at 28,800 vibrations/hour. The extended power reserve is achieved with a barrel fitted with a longer, finer mainspring and a polished spring blade, which lowers friction and improves unwinding linearity for steadier torque (365 gr·mm). The micro-rotor’s latest-generation geometry maintains winding efficiency while preserving openness around the gear train, and the elevated small-seconds at 12 o’clock is integrated into the mechanics.
Four new references are launched, all of which are fitted to a nubuck strap (other options available, as you can see in our photos) with an ArtyA pin buckle (DLC on black models), with additional strap options available. The 35mm Luminity Wavy Micro-Rotor AMR-01 is a limited series of 99 pieces. Pre-tax prices start at CHF 14,900 for a titanium case and sapphire dial combination and go up to CHF 37,900 for a full sapphire case and stone dial.
