The Armin Strom One Week is an expression of the manufacture’s priorities: visible mechanics, measured proportions and an insistence on hand finishing. Where the recent Titanium Skeleton emphasised lightness and a contemporary tool-watch stance, the new One Week Skeleton edition reframes the same openworked architecture in rose gold, retaining the mechanics as the object of technical study while adding aesthetic warmth through a precious metal case.

This new Armin Strom One Week Skeleton is offered in solid 18k rose gold and maintains the series’ dimensions: 41mm in diameter, 10.6mm in height, and a 44.35mm lug-to-lug. Proportions are carefully managed, the profile is defined by the pronounced domed sapphire crystal and a matching sapphire caseback; the two crystals sandwich the skeletonised movement and create a shallow, highly three-dimensional visual plane. Finishing is restrained: polished and satin surfaces align with the brand’s engineering focus. Subtle guards protect the crown; water-resistance is 100m.

As expected, there is no conventional dial. A black minute ring with applied indices provides the timing reference. The rest of the front is movement: the skeletonised small-seconds at 9 o’clock and the exposed train, barrels and conical winding indicator. Along with the indices, the finger bridges and hands are treated in a matching rose-gold tone; hands and indices have Super-LumiNova for low-light legibility. The overall read is one of layered depth with components arranged across multiple planes rather than sitting on a single dial surface.

The Armin Strom One Week Skeleton Rose Gold is powered by the in-house calibre ARM21-S, a 194-component, skeletonised evolution of Armin Strom’s ARM21/ARM09. Two mainspring barrels are mounted in series to ensure a steady output across the seven-day reserve; their ratchet wheels are intentionally placed on the dial side. Energy is displayed through a three-dimensional, conical power-reserve mechanism, a compact, clever solution inspired by historical pocket-watch gearing. Regulation is provided by a balance wheel with four timing screws, operating frequency is 25,200 vibrations/hour. Finish and assembly follow Armin Strom practice: every component is hand-finished (polished sinks and screws, bevelled edges, Geneva stripes and circular graining) and each watch is assembled and checked twice.

The Armin Strom One Week Skeleton Rose Gold is worn on a black textile strap closed with a rose-gold pin buckle. Production is limited to 50 pieces, and the price is CHF 47,000. For more details, please consult ArminStrom.com.
