The Jazzmaster collection by Hamilton is where classical watchmaking meets contemporary design, offering mechanical substance without unnecessary ornament. With the latest Jazzmaster Open Heart models, not to be confused with the skeleton versions, Hamilton expands the series with a wide range of dial colours across three sizes, to please as many clients as possible.

The Open Heart concept is not new to Hamilton, but it remains one of the most coherent executions in the accessible Swiss segment. Rather than opening the dial for effect alone, the Jazzmaster Open Heart is designed to invite the wearer into the mechanics; it’s a daily reminder that a mechanical watch is a living object, prompting further discovery of how it works, or a simple appreciation of mechanical tradition.

The new Jazzmaster Open Heart collection comprises references in 36mm, 40mm and 42mm, to cover different wrists and preferences. All versions share the same stainless-steel case architecture, with brushed surfaces and polished accents for a restrained yet refined look. Thickness remains around 10mm to just over 11mm, depending on size, allowing the watch to sit comfortably while retaining enough presence for everyday wear. A sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating protects the dial, and the watch is rated to 50m water resistance, sufficient for both formal and casual settings.

On the dial, Hamilton continues to exploit its signature Open Heart aperture, which reveals the balance wheel and some other components in motion. It is not a full skeleton, and it doesn’t pretend to be one; it’s an opening that doesn’t violate symmetry or legibility.

New dial executions introduce smoky gradient finishes, with silver, gold-toned, deep blue, turquoise, and brown variants to create distinct personalities across the range. Applied indices and faceted hands, treated with Super-LumiNova, ensure clarity in low light. Textures tone shifts reward closer inspection, feel the serenity if you do choose to spend time doing it.

Powering all Jazzmaster Open Heart models is Hamilton’s H-10 automatic movement (Powermatic 80), based on ETA C07.111, itself based on the ETA 2824. Operating at 21,600 vibrations/hour, it offers an 80-hour power reserve and is engineered for reliability and daily use. The Nivachron balance spring enhances resistance to magnetism, temperature variation and shocks. An exhibition caseback allows a view of the movement, finished in an industrial but honest manner, consistent with the watch’s positioning.

Depending on the reference, the Jazzmaster Open Heart is sold on a five-row stainless-steel bracelet closed with a folding clasp or on leather straps, ranging from patinated calf to clean white leather. The collection is part of Hamilton’s permanent catalogue; some references are already available, and a few will be released in May 2026. Prices start at CHF 920 for a 36mm Jazzmaster Open Heart; the 40mm and 42mm models start at CHF 995 and go up to CHF 1,075, depending on your choice between leather strap or steel bracelet.
