With the Royale Paris, Pequignet started to reshape its identity as one of the rare true French watch manufactures. Following the recent redesign of the collection and the introduction of a more contemporary 39.5mm case, the brand now adds a fresh new variant: the Royale Paris Icy Blue.

The case is unchanged from the latest Royale Paris generation, measuring 39.5mm in diameter and 11.5mm in thickness. Crafted from stainless steel with alternating polished and satin-brushed surfaces, it features Pequignet’s distinctive extended lugs, a slim bezel secured by screws, and a domed glassbox sapphire crystal. A corrector integrated at 8:30 allows easy adjustment of the moon phase; water-resistance is 50m.

The new icy blue dial is neither pastel nor sporty. The cool metallic hue is chosen to evoke winter light over the Jura mountains surrounding Pequignet’s Morteau manufacture. The colour enhances the dial’s surface treatment, combining a marked grained texture, sandblasted engravings and a fluted small seconds subdial at 3:30. The asymmetrical layout, already a signature of the Royale Paris, remains, with the power reserve displayed at 8 o’clock and the day-date window positioned centrally above centre.

At 6 o’clock, the double moon phase is presented through two apertures for the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. The moons are diamond-polished to create a subtle sparkle against the icy backdrop. The polished steel hour and minute hands, filled with blue-emission Super-LumiNova, provide contrast and ensure readability.

The watch is powered by the Calibre Royal, Pequignet’s flagship in-house automatic movement. Developed and manufactured in Morteau with components sourced within an 80km radius, the calibre integrates all complications on a single plate and delivers an impressive 96-hour power reserve. Visible through the sapphire caseback, it features a large balance with compensation screws, a decorated oscillating weight, and finishing consistent with the manufacture’s ambitions.

The Royale Paris Icy Blue is worn on an interchangeable pearl-grey nubuck leather strap closed with a folding clasp. Available from April 2026 as a permanent edition, it is priced at EUR 8,000 (incl. VAT). More information at pequignet.com.
