The reference 5330G enters the regular collection

With a legacy extending over 80 years, including the renowned Cottier watches, Worldtimers stand out as one of Patek Philippe’s quintessential complications. Patek Philippe was the brand to reintroduce this complication in 2000 with the unveiling of the 5110 model. Subsequently, the 5110 was succeeded by the 5130 in 2006, which in turn was replaced by the 5230 in 2016. In 2023, the brand’s first worldtimer with date, the reference 5330, was released as a 300-piece limited edition exclusive to Japan with a purple guilloche dial. As could be expected the model now enters the regular collection. It comes in a white gold blue-gray dial combination and on a calfskin strap with a denim pattern. Meet the reference 5330G-001.

This new generation of Patek Philippe worldtimer reference 5330G-001 distinguishes itself with a patented world first designed to enhance user experience and comfort: a date display (pointer date) that works in sync with the local time, i.e. that of the time zone selected at 12 o’clock and indicated by the central hands. This smart feat is integrated into the new automatic caliber 240 HU C. Wound by a 22k micro-rotor, it runs at 3Hz and its power reserve is of 48 hours. A patented central differential system comprising two concentric star-type gear wheels manages the local-time date.

Just like for the Japan limited edition, the model comes in a 40mm wide and 11.57mm tall white gold case with elegant stepped lugs. The main novelty is the colour of the dial; it is now presented in a blue version with a carbon pattern for the center part. For enhanced legibility, the pointer date is displayed at its periphery thanks to an elegant transparent, red-tipped glass hand.

The Patek Philippe reference 5330G-001comes on a blue gray calfskin strap with a denim pattern. It is secured to the wrist by a white gold folding clasp. Price is set at CHF 65,000.
